What's in the Cards?
For Life
The Tarot's advice to help you live a life with conscious meaning.
Today's Theme for Daily Life
New professional and financial developments
The next several days may find you focused on concerns of material success, issues of economic security, strategies for acquiring a better financial position for yourself ... or moving up to the next step of status and wealth. This indicates the discovery and pursuit of new professional ambitions ... and may coincide with either a new career opportunity, a new interest in which your present standing and knowledge are important, or a piece of "good news" about money.
All this may come in something as abstract and undeveloped as an inspired idea ... but it could also show up as a person with some business information to share, a financial concept to propose, or a new way of practical thinking to suggest. This is a time for you to keep your eyes, ears, and mind open for all the things of value that could come your way in the very near future.
An extra piece of advice:
New arrangements regarding lifestyle and health issues may also attend the appearance of this card in this position. Naturally these things are very interwoven with money and professional interests ... but they all define "a better way to take care of yourself" in the future, and that can be a most wonderful gift.

There is joy in work. All that money can do is buy us some one else's work in exchange for our own.
There is no happiness except in the realization that we have accomplished something.

the challenges of relationships.
Today's Theme for Relationships
Heartache
There's not much of a "good spin" to put on this one. Over the next few days you may have to handle deep disappointment, mistreatment, injustice, regret, hurt feelings, bitter memories, and even meanness and cruelty ... deliberately aimed your way. That fact can hurt as much as anything.
This card, in perhaps a more benign expression, can indicate pessimism, remorse, dissention, confusion, quarreling ... and learning something you wish you didn't know. Either way, it's one of those moments to get past and be done with!!
An extra piece of advice:
There can be no happiness without sorrow ... because there would be nothing to compare it to.

Cruelty, like every other vice, requires no motive outside of itself; it only requires opportunity.

Today's Theme for Money and Practical Concerns
Inadequate rewards
Today's theme ... and the experiences that await you just around the corner ... bear directly on the whole theory behind providing work in exchange for money so that you can then purchase the goods and services you need to support yourself. It suggests someone involved in the structures of your financial life is either being cheated by being paid inadequately for the work he or she does, or is cheating someone else by doing half-hearted and slipshod work while still charging a pretty hefty price for what he provides.
This could indicate you are working far too hard in return for a rather miserable paycheck. It suggests someone is failing to pay you what you are worth in a transaction that involves possessions, material goods, an exchange of services, etc. It further suggests you are being taken for granted, "used," or not fairly appreciated by someone for whom you provide excellent service.
It could also imply you'll discover someone has charged you "full price" for careless and shoddy work. You may learn you are very unhappy with a purchase you've made ... or find you've been ripped off. You may find yourself actively conned, swindled, or robbed.
In the worst scenario, of course, you are the one who is cheating someone else, skirting the rules, trying to "pull a fast one," and not paying someone what you rightfully owe him. So ... consider this a warning, to either keep your eyes and ears open (and, as the buyer, beware!), to insist on adequate payment for the work you produce, or to get your act together and pony up what you owe someone for what he has given you.
Whatever the scenario ... you might be wise to remember your Karma.
An additional thought to ponder:
There is no free lunch. If someone is cheating you ... you have a responsibility to help him "correct" the error. If you are cheating someone else ... remember, what goes around, comes around again. So watch out for that backswing.

Each man takes care that his neighbor shall not cheat him.
But a day comes when he begins to care that he does not cheat his neighbor.
Then all goes well -- he has changed his market-cart into a chariot of the sun.
