What's in the Cards?
For Life
The Tarot's advice to help you live a life with conscious meaning.
Today's Theme for Daily Life
Excessive dependence
You may soon face a situation where jealousy, resentment, accusations, tantrums, "hurt feelings," and other evidence of emotional neglect are on display ... possibly tied to someone who needs more "proof" that she is "loved." Someone may feel dismissed, undervalued, taken for granted ... and not compensated nearly enough for the value he or she provides. It's also possible these feelings and responses describe you.
Alternatively, you may soon face a situation where someone feels frustrated, insecure, fearful, helpless, and victimized over work that is undervalued, gestures of affection that are not appreciated or returned, emotional needs that are not being met, and a general atmosphere of staleness and disregard.
You could also be that person. It's also possible all these feelings will emerge in one complex and painful scene ... which needs remedy and attention right away.
An additional thought to ponder:
It is entirely possible to see to all the physical requirements of those in your relationships ... and overlook the need for emotional support -- both for yourself and and for your loved ones. Keeping all the balls in the air can be a hard juggling act ... but the complexity of human life is such that you have to keep doing your best. Always.

As they die, the ones we love, we lose our witnesses, our watchers, those who know and understand the tiny little meaningless patterns, those words drawn in water with a stick. And there is nothing left but the endless flow.

For Love
The Tarot's advice to help you work constructively with
the challenges of relationships.
Today's Theme for Relationships
Struggling with self-identity
To lose your sense of identity, your certainty of who you are and what you are about can be a frightening, disorienting crisis. This is particularly true when the confusion affects your role in an important relationship. It may play out wholly within yourself ... or between you and some antagonist or a difficult situation in the outside world, something (or someone) whose feedback causes you to question very fundamental things about yourself.
This can range from something as basic as questioning your competence -- thus causing problems with your no-longer-solid self-confidence -- to questioning your basic human worth and virtue leaving you paralyzed with indecision and a deep loss of personal courage. Both impede your ability to show who you really are and be true to your nature in your attitudes and responses.
Getting past this time and regaining solid ground can be a challenge ... and you may face such a moment before long.
Today's affirmation:
When given feedback about myself that severely contradicts my self-image, I have the patience and wisdom to step back, consider the information, and either make adjustments ... or "consider the source," whichever is appropriate.

Be yourself. The world worships the original.

For Money
The Tarot's advice to help you work with issues of
worth, value, survival, practicality, and pleasure ...
as a spiritual being in a material world.
Today's Theme for Money and Practical Concerns
Regrets
Something you will meet soon in your financial life will leave you moody, cranky, and just generally "unhappy with everything." This could be triggered by purchases that don't please you, obligations that leave you depleted, a realization that your sources of income need to be revitalized -- or greatly improved, or the memories of something that adversely affected your present economic situation ... over which you now feel ambivalent (or worse).
As this card by itself carries strong feelings of family ties and "past connections," it may be that both relationships and money are tangled up in this episode where you regret choices you've made, where the levels of emotional support or commitment you sought never materialized -- or were lost, or where the "investment" of your own resources in a partnership (which can include your time, energy, encouragement, and support) have become a disappointment -- leaving you exhausted and despondent in the bargain.
An extra piece of advice:
You may need to evaluate whether you are sufficiently pleased with your level of financial and emotional support, whether you believe you have made intelligent choices in your partnerships and love relationships, or whether you may have traded love for money too freely ... and in ways that are very uncomfortable to examine.

There can be no deep disappointment where there is not deep love.
