What's in the Cards?
For Life
The Tarot's advice to help you live a life with conscious meaning.
Today's Theme for Daily Life
Rediscovering joy
Expect to get a wake-up call in the next few days ... demonstrating how you are drifting, wasting time, being irresponsible, not using your talents, feeling sorry for yourself, being pessimistic, lazy, and generally indulging your Inner Victim. That realization, of course, is the first step toward standing up, adjusting your attitude, and putting yourself back in charge of you inner creative life and your emotional well-being again.
You may encounter this energy "by example," too ... through an encounter with someone else who acts this out for your benefit ... and education. If you find yourself dealing with someone living in a world of his own, running away from reality through counter-productive strategies, complaining that nobody loves him and that he never gets a break ... and using these excuses to continue mucking his way through life -- you've got a cautionary tale unfolding right before your eyes. Be sure you're not buying into some of the same futile tactics, and be doubly sure you're not playing the part of the "patsy" ... helping somebody else stay on this pointless merry-go-round with endless offers of "help," money, understanding, advice, and sympathy.
An additional thought to ponder:
Do you know what it takes for you to be happy? Many people don't. Even the structure of our language seems to put that state outside ourselves somehow. We speak of something "making" us happy, as if we are passive pawns of circumstance. We're not, and if we stop acting and thinking otherwise, happiness is a lot easier to find.

To be surprised, to wonder, is to begin to understand.

For Love
The Tarot's advice to help you work constructively with
the challenges of relationships.
Today's Theme for Relationships
Defending your position
Over the next few days, you may have to deliberately protect your interests, hold on to what you believe, and defend what you have accomplished -- within the context of a friendship, relationship, partnership, marriage or other personal association. The experience itself may, in retrospect, seem like the Universe's way of separating the players from the push-overs. It's time to know for sure which you are.
You may experience circumstances where someone is "testing you" in search of weaknesses or soft spots ... or you may see that game of sly probing and subtle examination played out in someone else's life. It's the kind of thing that goes on all the time, and watching the maneuvers when they involve other people can be just as educational as being one of the principals in this psychological tug-of-war.
An extra piece of advice:
When it comes to the ultimate "bottom line" you really do have to take a stand ... and "take care of Number One." If you don't, there's not a lot of chance someone will step in and do it for you. There's more of a chance someone will walk all over you instead.

An insincere and evil friend is more to be feared than a wild beast; a wild beast may wound your body, but an evil friend will wound your mind.

Successful endings
You may soon reach a significant point of completion on some effort, project, creation, idea, or phase of development and learning that explicitly tells you you've mastered or experienced what you need to have from this episode ... and you are ready to move on. This will occur in your areas of economic growth, financial management, investments, possessions, sources of income, and handling of money.
It will further represent an advancement in your lifestyle ... including a decision (and the means!) to take better care of yourself physically. Living better and feeling better are inextricably linked to one another.
You will also soon put the finishing touches on something you've worked on for quite a while that has bearing on these same areas of interest, something that has been crucial to your growth and development. This is not a point of "calling it quits." This is a time of true success and completion. You'll know you are done with this effort now ... and are ready to take things to the next level, whatever that means to you and your life.
An additional thought to ponder:
Reaching the end of anything is passing a milestone you've never gone beyond before.

A determined soul will do more with a rusty monkey wrench than a loafer will accomplish with all the tools in a machine shop.
