Indeed, the energy of "passing judgment," rendering a verdict, or finding the kernel of meaning and truth you were meant to acquire as a result of this time in your life that's ending ... is where you need to focus attention for a while.

Along with bringing matters to a close and distilling the value of your effort into something pithy and useful, you can look forward to a time of awakening, renewal, and renaissance. It's possible a change of consciousness can come from this -- for there is a long history of development and participation implied by the appearance of this card and its energy. You may have worked with the "theme" of this time in many different guises and circumstances. Now, you need to define your benefits ... and new wisdom .. and get ready welcome "the next step."

Summing up can be a time of rest and hiatus, the figurative sigh of satisfaction that lets you release the old and draw in the new -- just as your controlled breathing does in meditation.
