What's in the Cards?
For Life
The Tarot's advice to help you live a life with conscious meaning.
Today's Theme for Daily Life
Rediscovering joy
Expect to get a wake-up call in the next few days ... demonstrating how you are drifting, wasting time, being irresponsible, not using your talents, feeling sorry for yourself, being pessimistic, lazy, and generally indulging your Inner Victim. That realization, of course, is the first step toward standing up, adjusting your attitude, and putting yourself back in charge of you inner creative life and your emotional well-being again.
You may encounter this energy "by example," too ... through an encounter with someone else who acts this out for your benefit ... and education. If you find yourself dealing with someone living in a world of his own, running away from reality through counter-productive strategies, complaining that nobody loves him and that he never gets a break ... and using these excuses to continue mucking his way through life -- you've got a cautionary tale unfolding right before your eyes. Be sure you're not buying into some of the same futile tactics, and be doubly sure you're not playing the part of the "patsy" ... helping somebody else stay on this pointless merry-go-round with endless offers of "help," money, understanding, advice, and sympathy.
An additional thought to ponder:
Do you know what it takes for you to be happy? Many people don't. Even the structure of our language seems to put that state outside ourselves somehow. We speak of something "making" us happy, as if we are passive pawns of circumstance. We're not, and if we stop acting and thinking otherwise, happiness is a lot easier to find.

To be surprised, to wonder, is to begin to understand.

For Love
The Tarot's advice to help you work constructively with
the challenges of relationships.
Today's Theme for Relationships
Patience and moderation
There may be a lot going on in your relationships now ... involving both action and emotions. Your challenge is to keep everything "on an even keel" and detach yourself as much as possible so that you can observe "the big picture" of events. Although you may have a lot to handle, you also need to maintain your position as director and guide so that matters progress as smoothly as they can for the next few days ... and certainly as smoothly as you would like them to.
All the things implied by the word "temperance" are important now: patience, serenity, self-control, restraint, moderation, even-handedness. When the pressure is really on, those things come under serious stress ... at a time when they may be needed most. Keep your wits about you!
Today's affirmation:
I have the patience to meet the challenges of my relationships now with the calm assurance that I can fairly handle whatever is required.

A good cause is often injured more by ill-timed efforts of its friends
than by the arguments of its enemies.
Persuasion, perseverance and patience are the best advocates
on questions depending on the will of others.

For Money
The Tarot's advice to help you work with issues of
worth, value, survival, practicality, and pleasure ...
as a spiritual being in a material world.
Today's Theme for Money and Practical Concerns
Being happy
It's time to trust your instincts regarding your financial future. Money may not buy happiness, but there are definite connections between financial safety and levels of emotional satisfaction. On the one hand, you may need to concentrate on enjoying what you have, on being at peace with the support and comfort you are able to provide -- even though you may also acknowledge a need to both have more and give more in terms of money and physical comfort.
On the other hand, you deserve to enjoy the work you do to support yourself, to hold a genuine attitude of love and trust regarding your sources of income, to be able to express yourself honestly, and to experience integrity between your emotional center and the practical responsibilities you must meet. If this is missing from your life, it's time to correct the problem.
An additional thought to ponder:
Money, joy, safety, and work are meant to be part of the same overall experience ... not mutually exclusive concepts.

Use what talents you possess;
the woods would be very silent if no birds sang except those that sang best.
