It just isn't what you thought it would be ... and you will either have to put a lot more work into salvaging it or redirecting it, or dump it entirely and start building again, with another vision and another destination in mind.

The moment of "re-evaluation" is part of the creative process. Everything eventually stands in the glare of this critical spotlight. It's sometimes helpful to hold such sessions deliberately and frequently ... and can save you tons of time when you cut your losses early and stop pushing in a futile, undesired direction.

This is a tough card. There's no two ways around it. It generally means you've come to the end of a significant illusion and are having to adjust your thinking in a mighty big way to cope with circumstances or information that is painful, harsh, heart-breaking, or disastrous. It suggests you may be handling a significant disappointment ... either fresh in present time or in repercussions from an incident in the past.

Often the hardest part of any major crisis is accepting what happened. And it may be that something in the next few days triggers memories or questions from a past incident that need to be reviewed further ... and put to rest either more fully, again, or once and for all.

Or it can bring the undeniable realization that something you've believed in, counted on, and maybe worked hard for ... for a long time ... has handed you back nothing but disappointment for your efforts.

As I said, this realization can be extraordinarily bitter ... and hearing that ultimately this is the first stage of important new beginnings may not hold much weight on balance -- for the time being.

Be decisive and brave in expressing your principles ... and be ready to help others be the best they can be, too. A time of important progress is at hand, and you need the security of knowing you are valued for yourself alone by people willing to treat you with the same respect you show them.

If you feel any need to apologize for who you are, your greatest need is to change that attitude -- by either solidifying your sense of identity, or becoming the person you want to be. Both of those are worthwhile goals. In doing so, you open the two-way flow between yourself and the world ... enriching it with who you are and what you have to offer ... the resources of yourself ... and allowing it to do the same for the arrangements that support you in return.
