What's in the Cards?
For Life
The Tarot's advice to help you live a life with conscious meaning.
Today's Theme for Daily Life
Standing fast
b
You may have to stand up for a matter on which you feel strongly ... and have the courage of your convictions not to cave in or back down under pressure. In a difference of opinion with a partner you may have to firmly decide not to compromise or settle for less than you want or deserve. In a competitive situation or on a moral issue, you may have to take a stand and hold your ground against a challenge.
Of course this card could also be suggesting that you should not compromise or settle for "whatever you can get" in a situation where that option has begun to suggest itself. It's time to trust your common sense, honor your vision of what you want ... and hold tight to what you value.
An extra thought to ponder:
Standing up for yourself may not be easy. It's tempting to overlook the possibility that another person may want to do you harm, would eagerly take unfair advantage of any opening to do so, or may be strictly out for "Number One" ... without regard to social niceties like courtesy or conscience. But the practice of not letting yourself get pushed around is an important one to establish. It's a tactic of self-defense ... and sometimes you just have to look at it that way.

This above all: to thine own self be true.

The Tarot's advice to help you work constructively with

Today's Theme for Relationships
Being productive and generous
b
Expect to reach a very welcome experience of knowing your success is solid, that you can hold onto what you have achieved, and that from here you can productively move into even greater opportunities and enterprises. This card may bode well for forming associations that can be financially productive ... and for using the economic advantages you've built to provide a comfortable lifestyle for those you love.
You will see you have produced something of material, tangible value in the world. And you may start feeling the tug of inner advice that tells you it's time to start thinking of "giving something back" for the help and advantages that got you here ... finally. Realize, as you work with this energy that your relationships, associations, friendships, loved ones, and social connections are also valuable assets ... and there are ways you can use both your money and your social skills to enhance your lifestyle and support your personal connections simultaneously.
An extra piece of advice:
The only way you will ever be satisfied with your financial life and your professional path is if your efforts are producing something that has significant inner meaning for you. Usually that "greater meaning" will involve your concerns and alliances with other people. Without that, you are simply "putting in time" ... like any prisoner. When all is said and done, it's the value you share with others that counts most of all.

In the end we shall have had enough of cynicism and skepticism and humbug
and we shall want to live more musically.

Today's Theme for Money and Practical Concerns
Inadequate rewards
b
Today's theme ... and the experiences that await you just around the corner ... bear directly on the whole theory behind providing work in exchange for money so that you can then purchase the goods and services you need to support yourself. It suggests someone involved in the structures of your financial life is either being cheated by being paid inadequately for the work he or she does, or is cheating someone else by doing half-hearted and slipshod work while still charging a pretty hefty price for what he provides.
This could indicate you are working far too hard in return for a rather miserable paycheck. It suggests someone is failing to pay you what you are worth in a transaction that involves possessions, material goods, an exchange of services, etc. It further suggests you are being taken for granted, "used," or not fairly appreciated by someone for whom you provide excellent service.
It could also imply you'll discover someone has charged you "full price" for careless and shoddy work. You may learn you are very unhappy with a purchase you've made ... or find you've been ripped off. You may find yourself actively conned, swindled, or robbed.
In the worst scenario, of course, you are the one who is cheating someone else, skirting the rules, trying to "pull a fast one," and not paying someone what you rightfully owe him. So ... consider this a warning, to either keep your eyes and ears open (and, as the buyer, beware!), to insist on adequate payment for the work you produce, or to get your act together and pony up what you owe someone for what he has given you.
Whatever the scenario ... you might be wise to remember your Karma.
An additional thought to ponder:
There is no free lunch. If someone is cheating you ... you have a responsibility to help him "correct" the error. If you are cheating someone else ... remember, what goes around, comes around again. So watch out for that backswing.

Each man takes care that his neighbor shall not cheat him.
But a day comes when he begins to care that he does not cheat his neighbor.
Then all goes well -- he has changed his market-cart into a chariot of the sun.
