In the next several days, you may encounter someone sensual, idle, untruthful, irresponsible, or dishonest. This card may warn that you'll find yourself dealing with a swindler, a fraud, a trickster, a con artist. Or it can describe a situation where you'll be entangled with a person far too fond of his creature comforts, someone who is self-indulgent, manipulative, and a "taker." It also cautions you to beware of flattery ... and watch for someone who plays emotional games and offers false affection.

It can also, however, foretell a vastly pleasure seeking, self-indulgent, hedonistic time ahead -- and you may deserve every minute of it.

This card also indicates "living in your fantasies." That might be a clue this would be a great time to brainstorm, daydream, and construct some new goals to pursue in the year ahead ... something you could really get excited about, something you could dive into heart and soul ... when the new year arrives with its chance for a clean slate and new beginnings.

This card is almost literally an energy of famine and starvation -- since without a source of energy, joy, and love offering nourishment into your life, the atmosphere that results is dead and absolutely stagnant. This is a serious wake-up call when it shows up describing your relationships and associations. The bottom line is ... you need a lot more love in your life.

You may need more people -- or different people -- offering you the care and concern that makes living worthwhile. You may need more people -- or different people -- to love yourself. Once again, energy is a two way street. You both experience it and express it. And you need to get the give-and-take exchange of love in your life moving again. Whatever it takes.

You may need to seriously assess some pervasive situation in your life, a habit you've developed, an obligation you've taken on, a relationship you keep hoping (against the evidence!!) will improve, a job that leaves you exhausted and unfulfilled, an investment of your time that leaves you no room or encouragement to grow.

Something unmistakable and of serious consequence is crushing your vitality and sapping your spirit, and before things get any worse, you need to confront and correct this.

You may soon have to deal with someone who is insensitive, unkind, unforgiving, and rigid in what he thinks and how he expresses himself in handling money, income, financial concerns, and lifestyle issues. He (or she) may be self-righteously convinced that "his way is the only way." Unfortunately, for him it is. But it doesn't have to be your way, unless you make that choice.

You may also encounter a person or situation that rouses some of your own prejudices, one-sided thinking, or paranoid beliefs over the "hot button item" money inevitably is. Such things emerge for all of us when our worth is questioned or our security jeopardized, and we all have to deal with such moments. They are opportunities to re-examine our ideas and make whatever changes we deem necessary. Sometimes, though, they aren't much fun.
