The Tarot's advice to help you live a life with conscious meaning.
Today's Theme for Daily Life
Falling short
b
Thomas Edison discovered over two thousand ways not to make a lightbulb ... before finally inventing one that worked. We remember him for his success. We all continue to benefit from it.
When you fail in an attempt to reach a target, what do you usually do? Give up? Look around for someone or something to blame? Try again? Try the same thing again? Do you sharpen your skills? Do you make changes? Do you analyze what went wrong ... and what you can do to stack the odds more in your favor next time?
Every failure carries a lesson. Those contained in major failures can yield some of the most important pieces of your life.
An additional thought to ponder:
From James Sharp: It is not every calamity that is a curse, and early adversity is often a blessing. Surmounted difficulties not only teach, but hearten us in our future struggles.

You don't have to get it right the first time.

The Tarot's advice to help you work constructively with
the challenges of relationships.
Today's Theme for Relationships
Winning
b
Very soon you will reach an important personal milestone that affects an essential relationship or association in your life. Victory, success, advancement, triumph, satisfaction, and rewards aplenty are waiting just around the corner. Be sure to enjoy them ... because this is what you've been working for. And success, like fame, is fleeting. It will soon be time to push on again, to the next plateau, the next level.
An additional thought to ponder:
Success is rarely an overnight phenomenon. It takes preparation, planning, commitment, and a considerable amount of work to bring a vision from the nebulous states of "I have a dream" ... or even "I have a great idea" into physical reality where it can get the respect it deserves ... and do both you and others some practical good. Even once you win ... you may have to keep working to hold on to your gains. Otherwise your success may become just a flash in the pan.

Don't believe that winning is really everything.
It's more important to stand for something.
If you don't stand for something, what do you win?

Today's Theme for Money and Practical Concerns
Inadequate rewards
b
Today's theme ... and the experiences that await you just around the corner ... bear directly on the whole theory behind providing work in exchange for money so that you can then purchase the goods and services you need to support yourself. It suggests someone involved in the structures of your financial life is either being cheated by being paid inadequately for the work he or she does, or is cheating someone else by doing half-hearted and slipshod work while still charging a pretty hefty price for what he provides.
This could indicate you are working far too hard in return for a rather miserable paycheck. It suggests someone is failing to pay you what you are worth in a transaction that involves possessions, material goods, an exchange of services, etc. It further suggests you are being taken for granted, "used," or not fairly appreciated by someone for whom you provide excellent service.
It could also imply you'll discover someone has charged you "full price" for careless and shoddy work. You may learn you are very unhappy with a purchase you've made ... or find you've been ripped off. You may find yourself actively conned, swindled, or robbed.
In the worst scenario, of course, you are the one who is cheating someone else, skirting the rules, trying to "pull a fast one," and not paying someone what you rightfully owe him. So ... consider this a warning, to either keep your eyes and ears open (and, as the buyer, beware!), to insist on adequate payment for the work you produce, or to get your act together and pony up what you owe someone for what he has given you.
Whatever the scenario ... you might be wise to remember your Karma.
An additional thought to ponder:
There is no free lunch. If someone is cheating you ... you have a responsibility to help him "correct" the error. If you are cheating someone else ... remember, what goes around, comes around again. So watch out for that backswing.

Each man takes care that his neighbor shall not cheat him.
But a day comes when he begins to care that he does not cheat his neighbor.
Then all goes well -- he has changed his market-cart into a chariot of the sun.
