You may also have to confront instances of wastefulness, self-indulgence, or uncontrolled desires that are causing you problems. It may be your attitudes and behaviors that are causing problems -- or someone else's. But either way, it's your job to make the needed corrections.

If you are making decisions under pressure ... realize how ill-prepared you may be to make objective choices. If your spending is way out of control (or someone else is costing you money that is not theirs to direct), you may need to examine just what you are trying to satisfy by using your money this way. It may be you're trying to solve a problem money really isn't going to fix.
