What's in the Cards?
For Life
The Tarot's advice to help you live a life with conscious meaning.
Today's Theme for Daily Life
Focusing on financial matters and practicalities
b
"Taking care of practical business" is your primary concern now. Accept responsibilities. Be patient, conservative, frugal, and resourceful. Do a good job. Be an example for others. But also look around for people whose conduct and choices can be examples for you. Always be willing to learn new techniques and improve your skills. They are your source of prosperity for tomorrow.
An extra piece of advice:
The emphasis here is on doing a good job, providing something worthwhile and honest, giving and getting good value, being conscientious and responsible, and offering your services with integrity and enthusiasm. This certainly applies in the job you do for money, but it is just as important in the necessary and meaningful tasks you perform for friends and family.

Besides the practical knowledge which defeat offers, there are important personality profits to be taken. Defeat strips away false values and makes you realize what you really want. It stops you from chasing butterflies and puts you to work digging gold.

Stagnation
b
It looks like the problems you faced in your financial life have migrated into your personal life for the moment ... and perhaps there is a connection between the two concerns. Here is the same energy of indecision, ambivalence, uncertainty, and hesitation you recently encountered regarding money, reappearing onstage in your relationships now.
You may find a promising new relationship ... or new direction in an existing relationship ... goes nowhere after all. Or in the next several days, you may learn -- to your regret -- that promises, new starts, new arrangements in an important relationship, things you want to really have and be able to count on ... fall apart ... perhaps again -- and it's back to the drawing board, maybe with a lot less patience, optimism, and trust to build on as a result of this new setback.
An extra piece of advice:
Confusion of purpose, great promises -- and no action, setbacks, failure to follow through, excuses, delays, obstacles, postponements, and frustration ... this is the wrecking yard of failed relationships. Think back about the relationships in your life that "just didn't work out." Doesn't this exactly describe the reasons why ... whether it was you failing to connect and commit, or whether it was your partner, is irrelevant. This sad cycle (which may be all too familiar) is where love's bright hope and promise founders oh-so-often.

A promise is a cloud; fulfillment is rain.

Sorrow
b
The energy of this card in this position combines emotional pain and profound disappointment with financial matters, possessions, or money. Its most obvious prediction suggests someone you trusted or cared for (perhaps even loved!) has harmed you over possessions, money, investments, or the handling of financial matters where you have an interest.
Another possibility with this combination is that anxiety, worry, bitterness, grief, or other strong emotions about money and finances are causing you physical and emotional harm ... perhaps even memories from the past that bring up unhealed wounds are causing you more injury in stress symptoms and psychological pain than you want to admit.
A fairly mild possibility with this card is disappointment with an investment, possession, purchase, or financial experience ... and thus the need to reorient yourself in the face of this loss. Rarely, though, does this card appear to describe the little bubbles and potholes of ordinary life. What you have to cope with in the next few days may have more to it than meets the eye.
An additional thought to ponder:
Being harmed materially by someone we have trusted or cared for brings a double injury that makes it harder to accept. You not only have to cope with the harm to your financial interests or possessions, you have to acknowledge and heal the emotional injury to your spirit. And usually recovery from the first is the easier of the two. By a long shot.

I have held many things in my hands, and I have lost them all;
but whatever I have placed in God's hands, that I still possess.
