Without realizing it, you may have been handed a formidable task of defining a new role for yourself inside a long-term relationship, or finding the right "fit" for yourself inside a new association.

You and significant partners may have been through a time of fussing, complaints, and renegotiation of the "ground rules" you operate under. The struggles you've endured lately were, on a larger scale, the push you needed to grow into the role you now must fill. Look back a moment with that in mind. If you don't see the outlines of this new growth yet, give yourself some time to gain perspective ... and look back again. See if I'm not right.
