The Tarot's advice to help you live a life with conscious meaning.
Today's Theme for Daily Life
Regaining your love of living
b
If just getting from one day to the next has caused you serious concern for a while, this card is the joyful assurance that better times are fast approaching. In the next few days, you should either find ways to greatly alleviate these worries or adjust your attitude and perspective so that the result is pretty much the same -- a sense of ease, relief, calm, and more confidence in your ability to cope.
This energy is about re-engaging with life again, rediscovering your feelings of joy, and finding meaning in the tasks and experiences that have your attention now. You may have missed that for a while, so the contrast may be obvious and welcome!
An extra piece of advice:
It's time to enjoy yourself for a while, whatever that takes, whatever that means to you. Pleasure is part of life. One of the most important parts, in fact. But sometimes you have to deliberately make it happen. The one person responsible for making you happy ... is you.

The voice of intelligence. . . is drowned out by the roar of fear. It is ignored by the voice of desire. It is contradicted by the voice of shame. It is biased by hate and extinguished by anger. Most of all it is silenced by ignorance.

Failing to achieve victory
b
In the next few days, life may hand you yet another "take a cold 'tater and wait" moment of delay and frustration on some matter that may have been stalled or hanging fire for a while. Very likely this involves or affects some essential relationship or personal association in your life. The end result is ... you don't achieve what you are expecting ... or hoping for.
You may also soon face a delayed recognition of your talents and skills, a lack of appreciation for all you are and what you have to offer to a relationship -- by the very partner who could benefit most by his position in your life. In the end, you may not reach a goal you're striving to claim, a bond you're trying to build, or a level of interpersonal connection you'd hoped to achieve.
True, you may not have offered exactly what was needed, or done what was required to hold up your side of the relationship. But you may also have chosen to invest yourself and your talents in someone who quite simply doesn't deserve you. Before you beat up on yourself too badly ... at least consider that idea.
This is actually a good thing, because it allows for adjustment and corrections that will put you more on track to succeed because now you're using more of your knowledge and gifts, more of yourself, more of your common sense in choosing your important people, even.
The reward you find waiting for you further on may be much grander than it would have been without this moment of examination and new focus, especially if you're trying to play the game of love with someone who is never going to let you win.
An additional thought to ponder:
Setbacks and delays are disappointing, scary, and very discouraging. Sometimes they seem almost like sadistic taunts, testing whether your resolve and desire are stronger than life's ability to frustrate you. Maybe they are ... demonstrating that Darwinian principle about "survival of the fittest."

Good timber does not grow with ease. The stronger the wind the stronger the trees.

Misusing power
b
You may soon see how you are wasting some important opportunities, misusing valuable potential, or failing to capitalize on advantages that could be yours with the right kind of effort. Such a moment of recognition is the first step toward making the changes that will put the situation on track again. Be sure to use it that way.
An additional piece of advice:
Power is a precious commodity ... and applying it properly is an essential lesson of life. Being weak-willed, vacillating and spineless is a recipe for disaster. But so too is being abusive, dictatorial, and merciless. The more power you have, the more crucial it is that you use it wisely.

When once a man has made celebrity necessary to his happiness, he has put it in the power of the weakest and most timorous malignity, if not to take away his satisfaction, at least to withhold it. His enemies may indulge their pride by airy negligence and gratify their malice by quiet neutrality.
