This is a reading on your economic situation at the moment. It deals with the investments, spending habits, management of income, use of possessions, and other physical resources which are central to your interest at this time. Because it deals with material assets, its information can also be applied to issues involving your health.

You have renewed your emotional engagement with life. There are new interests -- or new dimensions of old ones -- available to you. You have new momentum, a new sense of ambition, new goals, new desires, or a new sense of direction after being stuck in a period of complacency, contemplation, inactivity, or even mild boredom. This new growth step has your full attention now ... and you are able to enjoy the benefits of its encouragement.

You need "more action" in your life, a revitalized drive to accomplish something, and the opportunity for new challenges, relationships, excitements projects, opportunities, commitments, and interests -- and you know it. It's time to move on again, and emerge from this place of rest, contentment, and even boredom, and you know it.

You are also coping with a problem personality -- or destructive set of attitudes. This person is domineering, obstinate, vengeful, cruel. She (or he!) places too much emphasis on her own image -- and is insecure in this identity. She is insincere, shallow, condescending, jealous ... and may pick at or find fault with others in order to undermine their confidence. This may be a tactic to build up her own flagging, unsteady self-image.

This person is also demanding, petty, rigid, vain, lacking in compassion and sympathy. Her attitudes are narrow-minded, bitter, controlling, ruthlessly competitive, and angry. She is self-absorbed, self-centered, and may be given to "ambushing" people -- as a tactic for gaining power. About the best that can be said of this energy is ... it's out in the open where you can work with and confront it directly. It's very easy to spot it ... and tell what's going on.

This may, indeed, be another person you have to cope with -- or it may be an inner personality of yours that is causing trouble, and that has come to the surface now so you can confront and correct its counterproductive effects.

Alternatively: This may be a signal you need to turn inward and reconnect with the inner self that provides confidence, leadership, and support for your sense of who you are and what you can do. This may require some deliberate effort and a recognition that you are badly out of touch with these important character components. If you resonate to this meaning more strongly than to the presence of a difficult person -- or a counter-productive set of attitudes, consider this is the message the card intends to deliver to you now.

You are in an experience of emotional loss -- perhaps something from your past or part of your personal history that has shown up again to haunt you. This may be something you expected -- something you were able to predict, because the pain of this encounter is lessened somehow by its familiarity. This is a sad place you've walked through before -- perhaps in other guises ... but you know how this song goes -- and, worse, how it ends.

The feelings here are regret, resignation, sorrow -- but with a sense of "déjà vu". As I said ... you've been through this -- or coped with it -- before This may be a lesson you need to meet one more time -- as a way of helping you finally find the ways to get past it!! However, despite the brave front you may manage to put on ... this could hurt -- more than you realize.

You may be reluctant to admit the seriousness of what is happening here ... or you may not know anything constructive you can do to compensate for or correct this matter. But at least you are able to deal with it openly and directly. It hasn't the power to "sneak up on your blind side" any more -- for the moment. It has your full attention -- and you understand the impact it has on your thinking and your choices.

A major stumbling block you face, however, appears to be a person does not accept opposition well, who isn't overly helpful or sympathetic, who may have the idea that his way is the only way. Attitudes of intolerance, self-righteousness, narrow-mindedness, and willful dominance pollute the atmosphere ... coming either from you or from someone else, and possibly both. This may be having more of a destructive influence than you realize at the moment, but you are getting a better grip on the dimensions of this particular challenge.

Alternatively: You may have to reconsider the direction you are taking and the kind of leadership you are offering yourself with your choices and goals. Something about your vision and ambitions may be off-track -- either in the intensity with which you are pursuing wrong-headed decisions or the lack of commitment you have to your own declared intentions.

You have circumstances which are acceptably satisfying, but tinged, nevertheless, with mild regrets. You realize "what might have been" if you had made different choices, applied different logic, acted more decisively, or used your advantages with greater skill. You may see how to do things better next time. But that will have to wait for another day.

Soon you will find yourself in a situation that involves money problems, material hindrance, uncontrolled spending, obstacles, and delays in your financial life. The energy here is that of "not enough money," a shaky position, monetary lack, and feeling victimized, exploited, powerless, and "taken advantage of."

A time of major change is definitely underway. It may be so preliminary you may not have recognized it yet. You may also be resisting the adjustments that will eventually be necessary. For the moment it is either still so subtle you don't realize its dimensions ... or it is so awesome in its implications you prefer to "look the other way" for a while.
