This is a reading on your economic situation at the moment. It deals with the investments, spending habits, management of income, use of possessions, and other physical resources which are central to your interest at this time. Because it deals with material assets, its information can also be applied to issues involving your health.

You are restless. You want substantial changes in your life ... and you need to restore balance to matters that have gone off center. You face issues of unfairness, pressure, and coercion. You also are dealing with wastefulness, self-indulgence, and instability -- either from you or from someone influential in your situation. Overbearing attitudes and unnecessary force are on display -- either from you or from someone else.

You are misdirecting your energy ... and have placed yourself under tension and stress which affect you physically. You need moderation and greater mental clarity. You or someone else is being opinionated, self-willed, compulsive, and self-centered. You are operating on "automatic pilot" ... or are otherwise out of control or failing to give proper direction to your life. You are out of touch and off-track, and meeting the consequences of past choices that did not serve you well.

In addition, you are coping with adversity, obstacles, and possibly a lack of preparation for what you have undertaken. To complicate matters, however, you are not fighting for what is right, not standing up for yourself, remaining weak and vulnerable, and bending under the considerable pressure of your circumstances. You may be dealing with a problem you thought was already "solved."

You may also be allowing yourself to be bullied or "run over." You are overwhelmed, dealing with circumstances you aren't really ready to face, and may be blind-sided before long because you are trying to "be nice," make excuses or "look the other way." You may not feel there is much you can do about this situation ... but there is no denying the influence it is having on you and your life at this point.

Your mental resolve and determination to defend those things that are important to you are your guiding lights as this situation continues to unfold and resolve itself.

You are spinning your wheels, going through an old familiar cycle of rising hope ... followed by disappointment and dashed expectations. You are caught in a lesson you haven't learned yet ... at least not well enough to move on. And now, you are going through the motions of this all too well-known dance step ... one more time.

You are in a time of major change, a time when some elements are ending completely and better -- or at least different -- circumstances are taking their place. This is a time of deep, necessary change ... and then, of course, the inevitable regeneration and improvement.

You may not yet see this process in action yet ... or you may not be allowing it to proceed openly. Something about this still remains out of sight and out of reach for you in this situation, but it will soon make its work and its presence more obvious.

Soon, you will come to a new beginning, a new vision of what you want to accomplish -- or become, a new start buoyed on a new sense of self-confidence and new opportunities. This may involve a new sense of who you are, new ways of honoring and "being true" to yourself, new purposes, and new goals. You will embrace new energy and enthusiasm ... as you know you are going in the right direction and stepping up to a new level of personal development and achievements.

A "personality factor" is also coming into play ... from someone who is fussy, complaining, overly sensitive, paranoid, frustrated, and emotionally undisciplined. This person may be often over-wrought and fretful, obsessive, clinging, and demanding of sympathy and "support" from loved ones -- while offering very little in the way of compassion or even self-control in return.

Alternatively: This card suggests that you need to practice more diligent self-care, be more aware of your own need for love, compassion, and emotional support. Often it comes when life and the demands of those in your relationships have exhausted your resources to the point that you need to pull back, take time out for recuperation, and replenish yourself.

You need to become your own best friend for a while ... and restore yourself to the point that you can be that for others again. This may not happen overnight ... but the fact is, you can't give away what you don't have for yourself in the first place -- and it's time to fortify your inner self, in whatever actions are needed, so that you can become a positive source of support for yourself and those you love ... again.
