This is a reading on your relationships -- describing the major theme of your association with other people right now. This includes partners, friends, parents, children, other family members, and all others who are contained in the relationships that have your attention now.

You are in a situation where your mental resolve and determination to defend those things that are important to you are your primary features and concerns.

In addition, you are in a situation where you can use money and resources wisely. These are circumstances of prosperity where you receive what you deserve and are able to share the bounty with others. It may mark a moment of material gain or an upswing in prosperity. It's possible a gift is involved, or a return on past investments. It is a time of feeling well-off and able to make new investments of yourself and your assets in new projects and other people.

Your own generosity may be on full display -- or you may be the beneficiary of other people who are willing to lend support and help for things you want to accomplish. It's a time of reaping what you've sown -- and you find you have plenty. You may also be prompted to combine your resources with those of others for some effort of mutual gain.

You may also be given opportunities to "branch out" ... and either increase your income or diversify the sources from which it comes. You know about this valuable bounty and are able to work with it directly for your own advantage and benefit.

You are in a time of reckoning and resolution in this matter. There will be a rebalancing of the Cosmic Scales ... and a sense of justice and equilibrium restored. There may be somehow a sense of a "fair verdict" delivered, or "judgment rendered," or some other kind of legally binding or contractual arrangement that formalizes this closure.

This is a time of being centered, truthful, diplomatic, honest, fair, and grounded. It may involve mediating some dispute ... or reaching conditions of cooperation and compromise. You may understand how this is influencing your decisions, choices, and viewpoints ... and are giving this matter the careful attention it needs.

You have changed some well-established beliefs and attitudes, although possibly only through force of necessity. You understand how in some of your ideas and actions you were wrong, unfair, misled, misinformed, confused, or how your behavior did considerable harm to yourself and others.

You consider this episode a "learning experience" ... and realize you are dealing with the consequences of your own choices -- well-informed ones and otherwise. Mostly otherwise. Your new perspective significantly alters some of your previous beliefs about your philosophy of life, your ability to communicate what you know, the "truth" about what you stand for ... and things you were "originally taught" ... on some fairly basic principles of living.

You are in a situation where an important goal has not been achieved. You are unsatisfied and running on empty. You may not see a way around this impasse at the moment ... or you may be unaware how seriously it is hindering you emotionally at the moment.

Soon, you will meet experiences that include serious quarrelling, anxiety, and deep philosophical disagreement. This is an extremely disagreeable situation, containing, as it does, elements of defeat, unfairness, failure, slander, cruelty, cowardliness, and malice. You may feel you have been treated unfairly ... or realize that you have done so to others. (Possibly both.)

This is a situation of insensitivity, fear, the realization that you are not following your conscience -- if you pause long enough to rationally consider what is happening here. You are pushing an issue ... or using force ... often to no good avail, often to avoid changing your mind about something dear or important to you. Or you are feeling coerced and pressured to change your opinions ... or surrender your ideas ... by circumstances or another person.

This is an energy of victimization, and because energy is always a two way street, you may be either the victim, the perpetrator, or quite likely ... both. You may have to cope with feelings of revenge, the consequences of your self-defeating actions, or the consequences of ruthless responses.

Even "winning" here gains you nothing but an empty victory. You are likely locked into circumstances which involve mind games, game-playing, scoring points, getting even, and working to get "one up" on someone else -- and vice versa. You need desperately to change your thinking.

A "personality factor" is also coming into play ... from someone who is fussy, complaining, overly sensitive, paranoid, frustrated, and emotionally undisciplined. This person may be often over-wrought and fretful, obsessive, clinging, and demanding of sympathy and "support" from loved ones -- while offering very little in the way of compassion or even self-control in return.

Alternatively: This card suggests that you need to practice more diligent self-care, be more aware of your own need for love, compassion, and emotional support. Often it comes when life and the demands of those in your relationships have exhausted your resources to the point that you need to pull back, take time out for recuperation, and replenish yourself.

You need to become your own best friend for a while ... and restore yourself to the point that you can be that for others again. This may not happen overnight ... but the fact is, you can't give away what you don't have for yourself in the first place -- and it's time to fortify your inner self, in whatever actions are needed, so that you can become a positive source of support for yourself and those you love ... again.
