This is a reading on the general conditions of your Life.

You feel self-indulgent, lazy, out of focus, and stagnant. Your creativity is on hold. You are drifting emotionally. There is a loss of connection in your social life, friendships, and relationships.

You need new interests, new opportunities for growth, new projects to excite your soul. You and others take each other for granted. You are unsatisfied with the love and support available to you. You feel friendless and isolated ... and while you may put on a good front -- that's what it is. A front.

You are in a situation that contains considerable dishonesty in what you say, think, believe ... or in what you are being told. The information you are working with is unreliable ... possibly by "putting a better face" on rather unpleasant facts. This is an energy of self-sabotage, of being complicit in your own undoing, of letting yourself be talked into something when you know better -- by accepting excuses, rationalizations, and pretty cover stories. You may even be making these up and telling them to yourself. You may learn in time you have been your own worst enemy by adopting this strategy.

This card depicts reaping the consequences of past bad actions, lies -- perhaps ones you have told yourself or lulled yourself into believing, not paying close attention to what really matters, making decisions based on wishful thinking or deceitful information, weaseling, and either trying to get away with something ... or letting somebody else get away with something -- again, when you really know better than to trust what is happening here.

This is literally an energy of theft and deception. You ... or someone else ... is trying to gain something you have not earned (which could be money, possessions, position, status, regard, or "credit" for something that doesn't really belong to you), are using sweet-talk and fabrications to support your claim, or are playing head games and trying to pull a fast one. Something about the way you think about, work with, and report this situation needs to be corrected -- and fast.

You are in a time of unexpected, serious, and sudden changes. This energy is that of disruption, sweeping -- even catastrophic -- changes and adjustments. Old ideas -- even previous ways of living ... are coming to an end. This may indicate a breakdown in conditions you'd considered solid, permanent, and reliable. It may be brought about by a sudden insight ... or information you'd not previously known -- or been taking into account.

Realize that dramatic as these experiences may be, they can also usher in times of considerable improvement. You are releasing old ways of life, old habits. This may coincide with a dramatic expansion of consciousness or perspective. There is also the possibility of a disturbing "message of truth" you will have to accommodate. You may find you literally see the world as never before. Your whole picture of reality may be different.

This is a change in your overall view of life and your psychological programming. A basic belief about yourself, your circumstances, and "the way the world works" is in the making. Keep reminding yourself, times of crisis can also be ones of great growth. At least you are able to work with this energy openly and directly. It is having a substantial influence on your views and decisions.

You and others are taking each other for granted. You are unsatisfied with the love and support levels available to you. You feel friendless and isolated ... and while you may put on a good front -- that's what it is. A front.

You are, however, aware that this level of dissatisfaction exists ... and are working to change it honestly and openly. You may have limited options for change at the moment ... but you are at least aware of your ability to exercise them, or seek new ones.

You are in an experience of emotional loss -- perhaps something from your past or part of your personal history that has shown up again to haunt you. This may be something you expected -- something you were able to predict, because the pain of this encounter is lessened somehow by its familiarity. This is a sad place you've walked through before -- perhaps in other guises ... but you know how this song goes -- and, worse, how it ends.

The feelings here are regret, resignation, sorrow -- but with a sense of "deja vu". As I said ... you've been through this -- or coped with it -- before This may be a lesson you need to meet one more time -- as a way of helping you finally find the ways to get past it!!

However, despite the brave front you may manage to put on ... this could hurt -- more than you realize. You may be in denial about the seriousness of what is happening here ... or you may not know anything constructive you can do to compensate for or correct this matter.

However, something new is about to emerge -- or be accomplished -- involving money, possessions, business opportunities, or your professional directions. You will soon start to build or create something "real" that doesn't exist at the moment.

Long term, you will be forced to confront a serious loss or bitter disappointment, something you may have tried hard not to acknowledge. This may involve circumstances of ruin, defeat, betrayal, failure, -- even to the point of being "stabbed in the back."

This is an energy of severe trouble and misfortune -- bringing extreme unhappiness, suffering, sorrow, frustration, and anguish. It may involve irreplaceable losses, a crisis of faith, and a sense of the world collapsing around you. It may represent the complete destruction of something you have counted on and worked for -- possibly because you have been acting on bad information or trusting the wrong people.

The upshot here is likely total devastation from which the only choice is "starting over."
