This is a reading on your relationships -- describing the major theme of your association with other people right now. This includes partners, friends, parents, children, other family members, and all others who are contained in the relationships that have your attention now.

A "problem personality" dominates your situation, someone fussy, complaining, overly sensitive, paranoid, frustrated, and emotionally undisciplined. This person may be often over-wrought and fretful, obsessive, clinging, and demanding of sympathy and "support" from loved ones -- while offering very little in the way of compassion or even self-control in return.

You recognize the problems this person ... or these attitudes ... cause, seeing them for what they are. It is possible this also represents a part of your personality -- or attitudes triggered in you by the stressful conditions you are involved with.

Alternatively: This card can mean that you need to go inward, reconnect with your own sources of creativity, self-nourishment, and self-love. It may be time for you to start treating yourself as well as you try to treat others, to get back on your own side for a change, and to remember and honor all the wonderful things you are. You cannot give away what you don't have in the first place, and it may be time for you to replenish your emotional stock.

If this meaning resonates to you more than the above description of a problematic personality, then consider that this message is the one the card intends to deliver to you.

You now understand you have greater freedom, wider options, and more latitude than you once thought. You see your circumstances differently. You are willing to adopt ideas you wouldn't consider before and accept viewpoints that once seemed "impossible." This change in your thinking is an important asset.

You have come through a time of significant difficulty, serious enough to be termed a crisis, and have found meaning and solid ground again after coping with these upsetting -- and even abusive -- experiences. This new level of wisdom is an asset you can use in this situation now, applying the strength and greater perspective you have gained by virtue of overcoming this period of sustained trouble -- and surviving.

This new, more enlightened perspective has considerable influence now on your ideas, opinions, viewpoints ... and the choices you make now, as a result of what you've been through and what you've learned.

You are in a situation of high anxiety, despair, and emotional upset serious enough to qualify as torment. You are able to admit this openly, and at least have the advantage of facing and working consciously with the serious impact this is having on you and your present circumstances.

You need to step back, go inward, pause, surrender to the "inevitable," and listen to the counsel of your Inner Self. You are in circumstances that require you to have faith and patience, to accept "being in limbo" for a while, and to suspend decisions and actions while you wait for a better sense of direction ... and the lifting of the fog and confusion that now envelops you. This is a time to seek inner wisdom, to reverse your usual perspectives on life, to find a way to "look at your situation differently."

Things unseen are unfolding beneath the surface of your life that will require you take another view of something you've been seeing too narrowly up til now. You need to adopt other opinions, see your world and choices differently, release what is familiar -- and let something new come into being. Keep an open mind -- and be ready to accept intuitive advice and "other possibilities" as they present themselves. You are at a crossroads, a time of transition and waiting.

Be still for now, meditate, ponder, reflect -- and consider your next move, but take your time acting in response to what will come into your life at this time. You may not yet have a good enough picture to make any choices. You may not even realize consciously how much is going on behind the scenes in your life, or you may feel there's not much you can do about it yet.

Before long, you will meet a helpful person or adopt a very beneficial set of attitudes. This person is introspective -- but may have a very upbeat and enthusiastic personality. He is interested in learning who he is and what his "mission in life" may be about. He has ambition and charisma. He is learning to make his mark on the world ... even if through the sheer force of his personality -- which may be substantial.

This person is energetic, volatile, impulsive, and likes to stir up excitement. He is outgoing, generous, innovative, competitive, positive, and bold. He is interested in becoming all he can be -- and is a natural leader, although he may be relatively "new" at the tasks that occupy him at the moment.

He will clearly have the potential to "get noticed" and develop a following. He takes risks, shows determination, is always up for "learning more" ... and may be willing to "try anything once."

This energy may come in the form of another person -- or it may be parts of your own personality coming to the forefront to aid you or promote their own further development. It may also represent good news about something you are trying to accomplish or become -- something which offers you the encouragement you've been looking for and enables you to go forward.

Ultimately, you will come to a point where you make up your mind, take action, select from the options you've been considering, and decide to chase one or two of the dreams you've been dreaming. This is the point where the brainstorming process ends ... and the elbow grease gets liberally applied. You decide to solidify your vision and start accumulating the resources you will need to bring your goals into reality.

Of course, both the dreaming and the doing are important parts of creation. And having the courage to do both is necessary to making genuine progress.
