This is a reading on the general conditions of your Life.

Your situation contains a problematic personality or a counter-productive set of attitudes. This person is wasteful, careless with money, possibly too materialistic or too easily impressed with status symbols. He (or she) is without practical direction, may not show much common sense, may lack "a good head for business," and may be in constant financial distress as a result. This person may also be physically ill -- most likely from poor lifestyle choices.

This is someone who doesn't learn ... even from his own mistakes -- of which there may be plenty to choose from as examples of how not to behave. The attitudes present here are hedonistic, vain, status-conscious, contrary, extravagant, impractical, self-absorbed, and unwilling to listen to the voice of experience.

This may come in the form of another person -- or it may be parts of your own personality you need to confront and correct. You may not feel there is much you can do to correct or compensate for the problems this person or this part of yourself presents, but at this point you at least understand what is going on and are able to confront the matter openly and directly -- for all the good it may do.

Alternatively: You may need to step back, go inward, and reconnect with your own common sense. You may also need to rethink some matter involving your career, business life, or commercial enterprises. You may need to learn some thing you don't know at the moment ... or implement some strategies you have only begun to discover. If you resonate to this meaning more strongly than to the presence of a difficult person -- or a counter-productive set of attitudes, consider this is the message the card intends to deliver to you now.

Also, you feel overwhelmed, overextended, and stressed out. You may not be coping well physically or financially with the challenges you face. You don't have the assets or resources you need to work through this comfortably or successfully. You may be short on time, energy, stamina, strength, and money.

You have too much going on and are not able to stretch the materials and means you have on hand to cover all the necessary bases. You are spread too thin ... and even careful budgeting may not compensate for what is lacking. The need for constant adjustment weighs heavily on you. You may not see a good way to correct or compensate for what is happening here.

There is a "personality problem" on the scene, someone malicious, cruel, sarcastic, intolerant, and prone to use his or her superior mental gifts and hurtful tongue as weapons in a situation of "warfare." This may be another person ... or this may be a side of your character, brought out into the open as a result of the stress you are enduring. There is tremendous anger in this person -- and great destructive potential -- but at least they are "out in the open" now where you can face them directly, instead of having constantly to watch your back and wonder what's going on behind the scenes. This person and his or her attitudes are having a substantial influence on your thinking now.

This may be a signal you need to step back, consult your Inner Counselor, and see if there are other options, attitudes, or ideas that you could act on, and that might serve you better in this situation.

You have someone available to help you with this matter. This person is interested in his own self-development and firm in his personal identity. His integrity is sound. He can be counted on to deliver truth and honesty. When he's around, he makes a definite impression. He is individualistic, very much his own person ... and wants to be where the action is.

He has unmistakable personal charisma, and considers himself a leader -- but he can be a little too pushy for some people's taste. He simply knows how to get things done -- and isn't shy about doing whatever it takes to achieve his goals. He is energetic, intense, impulsive and always "on the go," or "in a hurry."

He can be impetuous, vigorous, enthusiastic, restless, and competitive. He loves adventure, and he loves winning. He also loves life -- and plays the game of it exceedingly well. He is brave, self-aware, confident and dramatic. He is demonstrative, outgoing, warm, generous ... and wants to "shine". He most definitely wants to be noticed.

He may also be able to show you where your own leadership and initiative will benefit the circumstances of your situation. This may be another person, who is able to draw out similar responses and attitudes in you -- or it may be one of your inner selves who has come to the fore in order to be recognized, lend assistance, and work with you for greater strength and mutual development.

You understand how to work with this asset -- and are able to do so openly and directly. This person ... or these attitudes ... have a significant influence on your thinking and decisions now.

You are in a situation where your inclination is to accept shallow, surface answers, where "appearances" are all that matters -- or all that you believe. This is an energy of self-deception, not listening to your feelings and intuition, acting from conceit and pride. It may be too easy to rationalize away what you really know to be true. You may not really dig for deeper answers.

You may also be dealing with people who are one-sided, closed-minded, insensitive, and concerned with keeping up an image. They may provoke some of the same responses in you -- or you may be contributing your fair share all along.

You may wind up making wrong choices, acting irrationally from deep-seated fears and phobias, unable to make decisions you can trust, and unable to see the real issues clearly. You may pull inward for self-protection ... and be loath to take any risks -- because you don't know what to believe.

This is the result of not following your own instincts, of not listening to the wisdom of your heart, of contradicting your own conscience and inner wisdom, and of not being true to yourself. It's a mighty high price to pay, but you may not realize this is happening, you may not see a way to end or compensate for this problem, ... or you may be in deep denial about how much it will ultimately cost you.

Soon, you will arrive in a situation where you are determined to play by your own rules, rebel against the status quo, and do your own thing instead of just placidly doing as you're told. You may find yourself dealing with unconventional ideas and implementing solutions that show considerable free thinking. In this situation, your independence is paramount ... and you may go to substantial lengths to maintain it, even if this isn't the most popular thing to do.

Ultimately, you are going to make choices and take action. Circumstances may force a choice -- or you may just need to do something to break a feeling of impasse and "getting nowhere." It's not possible at this point to say whether your actions will be wise or well-considered, but you will definitely be making some moves.
