This is a reading on the general conditions of your Life.

Your situation contains a problematic personality or set of counter-productive attitudes. This may involve a person who takes too many foolish chances with money, who is wasteful with resources, who often shows addictive behavior, or who is physically ill.

He (or she) may be powerful in your career, business, or financial structures. He may also be "keeping you dependent" for some reason. The attitudes featured here may be dishonesty, shady dealings, "anything for a buck," wastefulness, impracticality, fraudulent ideas and dealings, materialism, workaholism, a lack of scruples, materialism, and an overwhelming concern with status.

This may be present in the form of another person -- or it may represent parts of your character that need to be addressed and corrected. You may not feel there is much you can do to improve the situation -- but at least you are aware this energy exists, that it is a problem, and that you have to compensate for or correct it somehow.

Alternatively: You may need to look carefully at some ideas and practices you have adopted that affect your economic situation, business prospects, financial management, or the way you acquire and use physical resources -- including your own time and energy. Something here needs to be rethought, reworked, or redirected so as to not grossly mismanage your own opportunities and resources.

If you resonate to this interpretation more than to the presence of a difficult person in your life now, consider that this is the meaning the card is offering for you to hear and heed.

Additionally, you are dealing with a lot of impatience. You may be making or have recently made some moves that were not well-considered and which do not have the support you need to make the most of the changes they bring. You could also be letting other people dominate your thinking and "make your decisions for you."

You are not considering your options, possibilities, responsibilities, resources, or abilities in ways that offer you the full range of available potentials. You may, instead, be kicking up misunderstandings, opposition ... or at the least a lack of cooperation from those you need to help you succeed in this present venture. You may also be coping with a lot of mixed messages and your own ambivalence.

As long as things are jumbled as they are regarding this energy of "missing alliances and no support," you might be wise to pause and wait for things to clear before proceeding. Right now you are not heading toward a successful result or the advantageous use of what you are working with.

Alternatively: This card can indicate you have decided to "go back to the drawing board" in terms of partners and allies, outside resources, or your own mixed feelings on this matter and try to reorganize this part of your situation into something more cohesive. There may not be much difference showing in the outside world yet, but you are making some important inner changes and behind the scenes adjustments that will be better in the long run.

If this meaning resonates strongly with you regarding your present situation, consider that it also is a message the card is suggesting for you to receive.

You are in a place where confusion, indecision, and stagnation prevail. Your own weak will and ineptitude in dealing with this new situation -- or the developments that come in your present situation -- have become a major handicap in your ability to make progress into something better.

You need to cope with a lack of wisdom, shallow and inadequate knowledge, incorrect information, improper focus, a willingness to offer or settle for "easy answers," poor concentration ... and maybe outright lies. This is an energy of mediocrity and incompetence, dancing around the truth, rationalizing, dissembling, covering up, and "putting on a front."

It suggests living in the shallows, being uninspired and uninspiring, being bored and depressed, not sharing what you know ... or not having anything worth sharing. A lack of planning, lack of attention to details, poor organization and initiative, and intellectual pomposity may be on prominent display.

You may find this energy present in another person you have to manage -- or work around. You may also find these qualities in yourself coming out in the open where you have to confront and correct them. Whichever way this happens, you need to get this taken care of.

At this point, your own inability to think straight and act on sound decisions is working against you -- and costing you more than you realize. But at least you do understand this is happening ... and are working to deal with it openly and directly. These realizations and viewpoints are having substantial impact on your thinking and decisions now.

You will ultimately be able to overcome all your problems, delays, and challenges -- and claim victory in this matter. This much at least has become clear to you at this point. The problems may be clearing up substantially at this point -- or you may see your way clear to solving whatever needs to be changed. In fact, a greater state of success and triumph in this matter may be as simple as "a matter of time."

You are redefining some important goals -- perhaps having to do with your financial life or professional direction. Targets you were once aiming to reach don't suit you any more, or you realize your direction was "off" somehow. You no longer want what you have been working toward. You may also find you have achieved something that no longer "fits" you.

It is time to make a course correction ... perhaps a substantial one. You may not yet understand the scope of this change. You may be in denial about the need to make it. You may not yet see a way to accomplish it. Or you may not fully grasp the dynamics presently at work on this issue. In any case, you are not yet applying yourself to best effect as this process unfolds in your life.

Soon, you will need some time to fantasize, dream, brainstorm ... and refocus your intentions. You may find yourself in a period of indecision, confusion, and inertia ... where fantasy is preferable to reality, and the ability to act is hindered by a lack of clear direction. You may need to concentrate, be realistic, and not get lost in wishful thinking -- or simply spinning your wheels ... and getting nowhere. There is also a danger of becoming lost in a fantasy world ... or in addictive pursuits that, in the end, gain you nothing.

Ultimately, your situation will contain a person who is objective, perceptive, self-reliant, and an independent thinker. This is someone with an inclination toward solitude, self-directed counsel and opinions, who has a philosophical outlook on life, and may be a good therapist, advisor, or psychologist -- self-educated or otherwise. She (or he) is a thinker, a good judge of people and situation, able to make well-considered decisions, and "cut to the chase" in dealing with information and arguments.

This person is individualistic, analytical, strongly opinionated, and personally intense. She handles facts and information well ... and may be a good communicator. This may be another person in your situation ... or it may be an important part of your own personality that has come to the fore to help you work with this situation -- and to further its own development for use in the future.
