You have a valuable asset in your situation. Someone who is empathetic, supportive, and loving. She (or he) may be dedicated to home, family, friends, and her partner. She is in touch with her feelings and intuitions ... and honors these qualities in others. She brings joy, compassion, and sympathy to situations where her counsel is needed -- and helpful. She uses her emotional empathy to help others find their own answers, their own way, their own destiny.

She is sensitive to her surroundings, and may be creative, artistic, musical, or poetic in her interests. She enjoys serene, tranquil surroundings, and values the time in her own life to dream, imagine, and contemplate. She may support the dreams of others at the expense of her own best interests and development. She is "motherly," insightful, peace-loving, devoted, and faithful.

This may be another person in your situation ... or it may be an important part of your own personality that has come to the fore to help you work with this situation -- and to further its own development for use in the future.

Additionally, you are dealing with a lot of impatience. You may be making or have recently made some moves that were not well-considered and which do not have the support you need to make the most of the changes they bring. You could also be letting other people dominate your thinking and "make your decisions for you."

You are not considering your options, possibilities, responsibilities, resources, or abilities in ways that offer you the full range of available potentials. You may, instead, be kicking up misunderstandings, opposition ... or at the least a lack of cooperation from those you need to help you succeed in this present venture. You may also be coping with a lot of mixed messages and your own ambivalence.

As long as things are jumbled as they are regarding this energy of "missing alliances and no support," you might be wise to pause and wait for things to clear before proceeding. Right now you are not heading toward a successful result or the advantageous use of what you are working with.

Alternatively: This card can indicate you have decided to "go back to the drawing board" in terms of partners and allies, outside resources, or your own mixed feelings on this matter and try to reorganize this part of your situation into something more cohesive. There may not be much difference showing in the outside world yet, but you are making some important inner changes and behind the scenes adjustments that will be better in the long run.

If this meaning resonates strongly with you regarding your present situation, consider that it also is a message the card is suggesting for you to receive.

You are in a situation where a problematic personality or attitude has considerable negative influence. This involves someone living in a dream world, someone who emphasizes the fact that he (or she!) is "fragile," "sensitive," "refined," and "artistic" as a way to escape real life problems and responsibilities. This is someone who expects too much and gives too little and who doesn't know how to conduct balanced emotional relationships.

This is someone who wants to be loved without being loving, who gets his feelings hurt easily, who is manipulative, who "plays mind games," who looks for trouble and sees insults and slights where none were intended. This person is lazy, lonely, "victimized," and may have psychological and possibly addictive problems. He wastes time. He doesn't use his talent. He doesn't try anything ... because he's convinced he's fail, it won't turn out well, it's not worth the trouble, etc.

Depression may be a problem ... as may paranoia and anxiety. This person is insecure, thoughtless, and irresponsible. This may exist in the form of another person -- who triggers negative responses of a similar nature in you. Or it may turn out to be an inner part of you all along -- a personality constellation that has come to the surface for attention and adjustment.

You may not see a good way to "get rid" of this person ... or how to adequately compensate for the problems he causes, but at least you realize this situation exists and needs attention. You aren't in the dark about its liabilities any more. This issue has your full attention ... and exerts considerable influence on your viewpoints and choices.

Alternatively: This card's energy can also indicate you need to look within yourself for new sources of pleasure and creative expression. A new level, a new round of expression, regarding your own sense of joy, artistry, and emotional satisfaction is waiting to make itself known to you. If this meaning resonates more strongly with you than the description of the person above, then consider this as the card's primary message.

You are in conditions of self-indulgence, laziness, lack of focus, and stagnation. Your creativity is on hold ... or you are yourself drifting emotionally. You feel a loss of focus or lack of connection in your social life, friendships, and relationships. You need new interests, new opportunities for growth, new projects to excite your soul.

You and others are taking each other for granted. You are unsatisfied with the love and support levels available to you. You feel friendless and isolated ... and while you may put on a good front -- that's what it is. A front.

You are, however, aware that this level of dissatisfaction exists ... and are working to change it honestly and openly. You may have limited options for change at the moment ... but you are at least aware of your ability to exercise them, or seek new ones.

You are still recovering from a time of sorrow or sadness over a relationship that has come to a close or the processing of a serious disappointment. This is a challenge you have to face and cope with, but you may prefer to push it aside or ignore it for the time being.

Soon, you will reach a place of triumph, success, and advancement. You will know you are in control of your life and its ongoing stages of development, that you are "in flow," in the right place at the right time, and able to respond to changes and opportunities with balance and poise. This energy is that of success earned by hard work and self-reliance. Your confidence and optimism are well founded. You feel centered, positive, energetic, and "in charge."

Ultimately, you will create circumstances where you have taken (and will continue to take) responsibility for your life and what you are creating with it. You will show qualities of loyalty, steadfastness, courage, and the ability to "meet the competition and succeed." Obviously, this is a position of considerable advantage, allowing you to create success, even against opposition.

You are willing to confront problems and take a stand for what you want and believe, maintaining your position with confidence and poise. You have faith in yourself and your purpose. You know how to defend what is important to you, and you resolve disputes without caving in under pressure or compromising your integrity.
