This is a reading on your relationships -- describing the major theme of your association with other people right now. This includes partners, friends, parents, children, other family members, and all others who are contained in the relationships that have your attention now.

You have reached a moment of ingenious inspiration, an idea that may have hit you like a lightning strike, it is so powerful ... and potentially significant. You realize the dimensions of this gift. You understand its inspiration and its vision. You understand how you can put its concepts into practice and bring its promise into reality. You are working with it consciously and directly to use its assets to best advantage.

You have depleted your physical and financial assets. Something did not pay off the way you expected it to ... or it cost you a lot more than you realized -- or hoped. It's possible you made a major purchase (although it's also possible what you "bought" was the sad wisdom of experience.) Or you "invested a lot of yourself" into something -- that hasn't yielded the dividend you're looking for.

At the moment, indications are it either won't give back what you intend, or the investment will take more time to mature than you realized. You have to work with the possibility that you have overspent; incurred money problems; invested yourself, your time, and your talents poorly.

You are not be living up to your potential -- or achieving the gains you want. You may have jeopardized yourself without realizing it ... or exhausted yourself to no ultimate benefit.

You are working with a situation that features a lack of initiative, low energy levels, confusion, low self-esteem, and a sense of defeat. Your situation may also contain attitudes of vanity, arrogance, self-absorption, disagreements, and disappointment. You ... or someone in your situation ... may be trying to control others for your own ends.

This is an energy of depression, narrow-thinking, and emptiness. You may feel a lack of purpose, a lack of creativity, a lack of joy. It is possible you are misusing personal energy ... and yet still not gaining the positive respect or attention of others you are seeking. You may not yet see any way or solving it, but at least it has your complete attention now ... and you realize the extent of influence this energy has on your thinking and outlook.

You have a marvelous asset to help you in this situation. It exists in the presence of a powerful person of character and integrity who commands considerable influence and force. This could be another person ... someone whose leadership abilities and dedication to self-actualized goals are a compelling part of his nature, someone who leads by example ... and sets a most impressive tone with the choices he makes in his own life.

This influence, if it comes in another person, is charismatic, effective, authoritative, and brave. He (or she!) is a good counselor and a person of sound moral fortitude. He is someone you can both count on and confide in, independent, responsible, and solid. He will activate some of the best of these qualities in you, and provide an example of how you can grow along these lines, too.

Keep in mind, this energy may exist as a composite of several people ... if you don't see one definite example of this candor and strength among your immediate associates. This powerful influence may also be one of your own inner selves that has come to the forefront of your attention to help you ... and itself ... evolve and improve as you work through this issue.

If you don't find this clearly available in another person or people in your outer world, look within. This energy is waiting to meet you there. It is what will attract these others into your life to act as aids and allies if you need them. It can have a strong influence on your opinions, views, and choices in this matter.

You have an unused asset in your situation: The ability to reinstate reality on an intellectual level. This often means someone owns up to the truth, makes amends, and comes to terms honestly with what has happened. You may give credit to someone you have treated unfairly or apologize to someone you have harmed. Or someone who has mistreated or slighted you will decide to set the record straight. Only you may not yet have realized this is possible or necessary.

Properly used, this energy indicates that recognition and credit are given ... if belatedly. Balance is restored. There is greater understanding and honesty in circumstances where misunderstanding, rationalization, deception and even outright lies have existed. You will be able to make better, clearer choices -- because at last you're acting on the truth. But, for the moment at least, you haven't put this into effect.

You need to bring about basic clarification and allow atonements to take place. You, or someone, needs to listen, get the message, learn the lesson, and accept the necessary consequences of past actions. When this happens, you will no longer fool yourself, accept pretty "cover stories," or live in fantasies that have no connection to reality.

It may have been a long unhappy road that brought you here ... but here is a better place to be, and it's time you applied its advantages to your own benefit.

You are moving soon into a situation that is very much in line with who you are as a spiritual being, making choices that will help you fulfill your intentions and destiny, and that will advance your personal development to a new level of experience and competence. These circumstances contain faith, trust, optimism, a sense of fresh beginnings, and a grand feeling of confidence that you know who you are, what you can do, what you want to accomplish, and that you are on the right path.

At this point, you are willing to take new and appropriate risks. You are open to new experiences. You are doing things ... and making changes ... that are original, unique, insightful, ingenious, and that fully honor you. You are standing your ground and standing by your decisions, knowing they are the proper ones for the person you are ... and the person you are becoming.

Ultimately you are moving into a situation where timing problems are a significant factor. You may feel delayed, stagnant, blocked and frustrated -- as if you are making no progress and not moving forward at all. This may prompt you to "start pushing," trying to force some action out of impatience ... perhaps unwisely. In addition to a lack of patience, you may show a lack of tact and diplomacy. You may feel the need to act out of your own pressures -- or to overcome the opposition you face. However, anger and impatience may backfire on you.

You may find you are trying to move in the wrong direction. This energy suggests ruthless, impulsive, ill-advised action. You may be pushing for some result prematurely, or that you are "getting ahead of yourself," not understanding what you're doing or where you are going, or that you are moving in the wrong direction.

However, this card also suggests timidity and ill-advised hesitation. So you may not be pushing something that requires more decisive action to break the stalemate. It can indicate a very confusing and "mixed message" situation ... where you almost have to "go against your impulse" in order to do what is best -- to wait when you want to get going ... and "force the issue" when your inclination is to hold back.
