This is a reading on your economic situation at the moment. It deals with the investments, spending habits, management of income, use of possessions, and other physical resources which are central to your interest at this time. Because it deals with material assets, its information can also be applied to issues involving your health.

You are coping with adversity, obstacles, and possibly a lack of preparation for what you have undertaken. To complicate matters, however, you are not fighting for what is right, not standing up for yourself, remaining weak and vulnerable, and bending under the considerable pressure of your circumstances. You may be dealing with a problem you thought was already "solved."

You may also be allowing yourself to be bullied or "run over." You are overwhelmed, dealing with circumstances you aren't really ready to face, and may be blind-sided before long because you are trying to "be nice," make excuses or "look the other way." You may not feel there is much you can do about this situation ... but there is no denying the influence it is having on you and your life at this point.

A major presence in your situation, however, is a person does not accept opposition well, who isn't overly helpful or sympathetic, who may have the idea that his way is the only way. Attitudes of intolerance, self-righteousness, narrow-mindedness, and willful dominance pollute the atmosphere ... coming either from you or from someone else, and possibly both. This could present quite a challenge for you to overcome because of the intensity and intellectual force of this intractable individual.

Alternatively: You may have to reconsider the direction you are taking and the kind of leadership you are offering yourself with your choices and goals. Something about your vision and ambitions may be off-track -- either in the intensity with which you are pursuing wrong-headed decisions or the lack of commitment you have to your own declared intentions.

You have a problematic personality or set of counter-productive attitudes to deal with. This person is intolerant, temperamental, pompous, conceited, vain, and full of empty ambitions -- great plans that come to nothing. He (or she) wants things handed to him without effort ... and may be dealing with low self-esteem, poor impulse control, defensiveness, and jealousy.

The attitudes present in this situation include selfishness, impulsiveness, bossiness, and anger -- often poorly controlled anger. This may be present in the form of another person -- or it may represent parts of your character that need to be addressed and corrected. This energy is having considerable impact on your thinking now -- and while you may still be looking for better methods and tactics to handle it, it does have your complete attention.

Alternatively: You may have to reconsider the direction you are taking and the kind of leadership you are offering yourself with your choices and goals. Something about your vision and ambitions may be off-track -- either the intensity with which you are pursuing wrong-headed decisions or the lack of commitment you have to your own declared intentions.

Right now timing problems are a significant factor. You feel delayed, stagnant, blocked and frustrated -- as if you are making no progress and not moving forward at all. You may "start pushing," trying to force something out of impatience ... perhaps unwisely. You may also show a lack of tact and diplomacy. You may feel the need to act out of your own pressures -- or to overcome the opposition you face. However, your anger and impulsiveness may backfire.

You may find you are trying to move in the wrong direction. This energy suggests ruthless, impulsive, ill-advised action. You may be pushing for a result prematurely, or "getting ahead of yourself," not understanding what you're doing or where you are going, or moving in the wrong direction.

However, this card also suggests timidity and ill-advised hesitation. So you may not be pushing something that requires more decisive action to break the stalemate. It can indicate a confusing, "mixed message" situation ... where you almost have to "go against your impulse" in order to do what is best -- to wait when you want to get going ... and "force the issue" when your inclination is to hold back.

You honestly may not know what response to make ... and the ambivalence and lack of clarity itself may be an issue, but at least you understand your quandary ... and are able to work with the matter directly and openly.

You have created circumstances where there is a huge disparity between the quality (and perhaps quantity) of work you do and the amount you are paid in return. You may be charging top dollar for incompetent, poor-quality products and services. You may be cutting corners, trying to "scoot by" with as little effort as possible, and you may even be doing things that border on fraud.

Or you may be dealing with people who are treating you this way, abusing your craftsmanship, not appreciating the effort you put out on their behalf, and trying to "get something for nothing" by giving you back as little as they can possibly get away with. If you are putting up with this treatment, you are shamefully complying in your own exploitation. Abuse is abuse ... and "good intentions" don't do much to change its ugly appearances or sad results.

There are indications in this energy that someone's vanity is way out of control ... that he is unjustifiably proud of himself, smug in his ability to beat the system, fleece the "suckers," ride on other people's coattails, or get what he wants "for free", not understanding (or maybe not caring) about the karmic implications and eventual backlash being created by his choices.

Realize, too, there is not much honor in playing the perpetual victim if you are the one on the short end of the stick here ... and are staying there so you can criticize others or use self-pity as a building block in the self-righteous image you may have of yourself.

By skirting the law -- cosmic law, human law, and the physical law of cause-and-effect, you are misapplying your skills, not respecting yourself, not insisting that others grow and behave themselves better, getting lost in the pettiness of life, bogged down in "the small stuff," and definitely going about things in the wrong way.

No matter which side of this transaction you are on ... as the perpetrator or the victim of this abuse, these are not circumstances to be proud of, and the longer you let them continue the harder it will be to break the habit. So you need to get to work on that ... and soon. You are too focused on short terms gains ... and taking the easy way out. You may not, however, understand as fully as you need to that this is happening ... or you may be in denial about the eventual cost this will entail to you if it continues.

You may not see a good way around these entrenched circumstances yet -- but you need to find them, or create them. ASAP.

You will find allies and a cooperative network of support available to help you with this matter. The near future in this situation puts you in touch with opportunities for teamwork, advice, and help.

Ultimately, you are heading for a resolution where you will be "caught unprepared" for the challenge you are facing. You may be pressured by superior opposition or some kind of competition where you are ill-equipped to prevail. The upshot is, you will not be ready to defend yourself or your position adequately. You may feel threatened, "taken advantage of," and outmaneuvered.

You will be unable or unwilling to do what is needed or successfully confront your adversaries. You may choose to turn and run rather than stand your ground. You may simply lack the courage and willpower to deal with what is present at this point.

This is an energy of feeling anxious, uncomfortable, outnumbered, unpopular, powerless, friendless, and victimized.
