This is a reading on your economic situation at the moment. It deals with the investments, spending habits, management of income, use of possessions, and other physical resources which are central to your interest at this time. Because it deals with material assets, its information can also be applied to issues involving your health.

You feel self-indulgent, lazy, out of focus, and stagnant. Your creativity is on hold. You are drifting emotionally. There is a loss of connection in your social life, friendships, and relationships.

You need new interests, new opportunities for growth, new projects to excite your soul. You and others take each other for granted. You are unsatisfied with the love and support available to you. You feel friendless and isolated ... and while you may put on a good front -- that's what it is. A front.

You have reached a place of triumph, success, and advancement. You are in control of your life and its ongoing stages of development. You are "in flow," in the right place at the right time, and able to respond to changes and opportunities with balance and poise. This energy is that of success earned by hard work and self-reliance. You know your confidence and optimism are well founded. You also feel centered, positive, energetic, and "in charge."

You are spinning your wheels, running around in circles, putting in huge amounts of effort and energy -- and achieving no progress whatsoever. This energy is one of intense, disorganized action, strife, and confusion. It also represents an identity crisis -- not knowing who you are or what you "role" in this situation is, needing to fight for your rights and position -- but maybe not being willing or able to do so.

You may face a loss of security, harmony, and privacy. You may not have a good sense of yourself or your competence in this situation. You may feel very ambivalent and internally divided. You may face numerous, complicated, and confusing options and choices. This is an arrangement of extreme discomfort with yourself and your situation. It contains energies that speak of arguments, rivalry, agitation, conflict, disagreements, and divided opinions. This situation has your full attention now ... and you understand the influence it is having on your choices, viewpoints, and ideas.

You are in circumstances where money is a problem. This experience may cost you more than you expected, or money you were counting on may evaporate or not arrive, or a lack of resources plays a pivotal part moving things to closure. You need to be cautious and conservative concerning money, financial arrangements, investments, the use of resources and possessions, and your channels of income.

Beware of believing promises that may let you down seriously if they don't materialize. You need to control your expenses ... and know where your money is coming from as well as where it is going. You may not see ways to compensate for or cope with this challenge well -- but at least you are able to deal with the situation openly, honestly, and directly.

Alternatively: This card can indicate a time when you are reorganizing your spending habits, probably in response to changes in your personal values. You may be bringing your financial transactions into closer alignment with your ideas and beliefs.

You have created circumstances where there is a huge disparity between the quality (and perhaps quantity) of work you do and the amount you are paid in return. You may be charging top dollar for incompetent, poor-quality products and services. You may be cutting corners, trying to "scoot by" with as little effort as possible, and you may even be doing things that border on fraud.

Or you may be dealing with people who are treating you this way, abusing your craftsmanship, not appreciating the effort you put out on their behalf, and trying to "get something for nothing" by giving you back as little as they can possibly get away with. If you are putting up with this treatment, you are shamefully complying in your own exploitation. Abuse is abuse ... and "good intentions" don't do much to change its ugly appearances or sad results.

There are indications in this energy that someone's vanity is way out of control ... that he is unjustifiably proud of himself, smug in his ability to beat the system, fleece the "suckers," ride on other people's coattails, or get what he wants "for free", not understanding (or maybe not caring) about the karmic implications and eventual backlash being created by his choices.

Realize, too, there is not much honor in playing the perpetual victim if you are the one on the short end of the stick here ... and are staying there so you can criticize others or use self-pity as a building block in the self-righteous image you may have of yourself.

By skirting the law -- cosmic law, human law, and the physical law of cause-and-effect, you are misapplying your skills, not respecting yourself, not insisting that others grow and behave themselves better, getting lost in the pettiness of life, bogged down in "the small stuff," and definitely going about things in the wrong way.

No matter which side of this transaction you are on ... as the perpetrator or the victim of this abuse, these are not circumstances to be proud of, and the longer you let them continue the harder it will be to break the habit. So you need to get to work on that ... and soon. You are too focused on short terms gains ... and taking the easy way out. You may not, however, understand as fully as you need to that this is happening ... or you may be in denial about the eventual cost this will entail to you if it continues.

You may not see a good way around these entrenched circumstances yet -- but you need to find them, or create them. ASAP.

Before long, you will change some well-established beliefs and attitudes, although possibly through force of necessity. You may see how in some of your ideas and actions you were wrong, unfair, misled, misinformed, confused, or how your behavior did considerable harm to yourself and others. To some extent, you have to consider this episode a "learning experience" ... and realize you are dealing with the consequences of your own choices -- well-informed ones and otherwise. Mostly otherwise.

You will establish a new perspective that may significantly alter some of your previous beliefs about your philosophy of life, your ability to communicate what you know, the "truth" about what you stand for ... and things you were "originally taught" ... on some fairly basic principles of living.

You are moving toward an ultimate resolution where your "only choice" is perseverance, moving forward, probably against resistance and with difficulty. You will be dealing with heavy burdens of work and responsibility -- probably assumed as a result of your own success. You may need to delegate and make others carry their fair share of the load -- but when push really comes to shove, you will be the only one who can really make things happen and fulfill the requirements that are present here.

You may feel weighted down with worries and concerns, but still required to carry on -- because again, the buck stops with you and you are the only person able to do what has to be done. These circumstances may feel extremely oppressive ... and you may have to decide if you have really bitten off more than you can chew in handling this matter. You will be seriously over-committed and lacking in time for yourself -- or anything else.

You may need to get rid of what you no longer need, find help wherever you can, and get ready for a new level of growth -- because you've gotten about all that's available for you here ... except "more of the same."
