This is a reading on your economic situation at the moment. It deals with the investments, spending habits, management of income, use of possessions, and other physical resources which are central to your interest at this time. Because it deals with material assets, its information can also be applied to issues involving your health.

You are in a situation where your "only choice" is perseverance, moving forward, probably against resistance and with difficulty. You will be dealing with heavy burdens of work and responsibility -- probably assumed as a result of your own success. You may need to delegate and make others carry their fair share of the load -- but when push really comes to shove, you will be the only one who can really make things happen and fulfill the requirements that are present here.

You may feel weighted down with worries and concerns, but still required to carry on -- because again, the buck stops with you and you are the only person able to do what has to be done. These circumstances may feel extremely oppressive ... and you may have to decide if you have really bitten off more than you can chew in handling this matter. You will be seriously over-committed and lacking in time for yourself -- or anything else.

You may need to get rid of what you no longer need, find help wherever you can, and get ready for a new level of growth -- because you've gotten about all that's available for you here ... except "more of the same." At this point, however, you are aware of this condition ... and can work with it openly and directly.

In addition, you are coping with a problematic personality or a counter-productive set of attitudes. This person is wasteful, careless with money, possibly too materialistic or too easily impressed with status symbols. He (or she) is without practical direction, may not show much common sense, may lack "a good head for business," and may be in constant financial distress as a result. This person may also be physically ill -- most likely from poor lifestyle choices.

This is someone who doesn't learn ... even from his own mistakes -- of which there may be plenty to choose from as examples of how not to behave. The attitudes present here are hedonistic, vain, status-conscious, contrary, extravagant, impractical, self-absorbed, and unwilling to listen to the voice of experience.

This may come in the form of another person -- or it may be parts of your own personality you need to confront and correct. You may not feel there is much you can do to correct or compensate for the problems this person or this part of yourself presents, but at this point you at least understand what is going on and are able to confront the matter openly and directly -- for all the good it may do.

Alternatively: You may need to step back, go inward, an reconnect with your own common sense. You may also need to rethink some matter involving your career, business life, or commercial enterprises. You may need to learn some thing you don't know at the moment ... or implement some strategies you have only begun to discover. If you resonate to this meaning more strongly than to the presence of a difficult person -- or a counter-productive set of attitudes, consider this is the message the card intends to deliver to you now.

You have a marvelous asset available in your situation. It exists in the presence of a powerful person of character and integrity who commands considerable influence and force. This could be another person ... someone whose leadership abilities and dedication to self-actualized goals are a compelling part of his nature, someone who leads by example ... and sets a most impressive tone with the choices he makes in his own life.

This influence, if it comes in another person, is charismatic, effective, authoritative, and brave. He (or she!) is a good counselor and a person of sound moral fortitude. He is someone you can both count on and confide in, independent, responsible, and solid. He will activate some of the best of these qualities in you, and provide an example of how you can grow along these lines, too.

Keep in mind, this energy may exist as a composite of several people ... if you don't see one definite example of this candor and strength among your immediate associates. This powerful influence may also be one of your own inner selves that has come to the forefront of your attention to help you ... and itself ... evolve and improve as you work through this issue.

If you don't find this clearly available in another person or people in your outer world, look within. This energy is waiting to meet you there. It is what will attract these others into your life to act as aids and allies if you need them. It can have a strong influence on your opinions, views, and choices in this matter.

You are in conditions of self-indulgence, laziness, lack of focus, and stagnation. Your creativity is on hold ... or you are yourself drifting emotionally. You feel a loss of focus or lack of connection in your social life, friendships, and relationships. You need new interests, new opportunities for growth, new projects to excite your soul.

You and others are taking each other for granted. You are unsatisfied with the love and support levels available to you. You feel friendless and isolated ... and while you may put on a good front -- that's what it is. A front.

You are, however, aware that this level of dissatisfaction exists ... and are working to change it honestly and openly. You may have limited options for change at the moment ... but you are at least aware of your ability to exercise them, or seek new ones.

New sources of income and new professional opportunities will present themselves soon. You are beginning a new effort of material creation ... which could eventually bring an improved lifestyle -- and more healthful conditions -- as well as more money and more to show for your investment of time and energy.

Soon you will be moving to a place of balance, stability, new insights, and greater equilibrium. Here adjustments are easily made. You have the self-control and patience you need. There are conditions of cooperation and compromise available, more flexibility, sufficient moderation, and the integration you need for peace of mind.

You may start to see greater symmetry in your life ... perhaps in the midst of paradox. You may also see possibilities and combinations others (and even you yourself) have not considered. You will find ways to synthesize and moderate conflicting requirements ... in one of the most positive uses of your own creative energy you may have seen in a long time.

In time, however, something new will emerge -- or be accomplished -- involving money, possessions, business opportunities, or your professional directions. Something "real" will exist that doesn't at the moment.
