This is a reading on your economic situation at the moment. It deals with the investments, spending habits, management of income, use of possessions, and other physical resources which are central to your interest at this time. Because it deals with material assets, its information can also be applied to issues involving your health.

You are working with a significant moment of victory and success.

Additionally, you are in a situation of high anxiety, despair, and emotional upset serious enough to qualify as torment.

You are in a situation where there is "no victory" or where the success you are aiming for just isn't coming together properly. Possibly the success you gained isn't the one you thought you wanted. This card may reflect a lack of commitment to your own goals ... or self-sabotaging habits that are costing you more than you realize. You may also be in denial about just how powerful these effects are ... and how much damage these influences are causing ... which doesn't help you at all in your efforts to cope with or correct them.

This "no win" attitude is having a significant impact on your ideas, thinking, opinions, and views at the moment. It is also influencing the choices you're making ... and may cause you to overlook options that could be helpful ... or make less aggressive decisions than are needed. You're too focused on how you probably won't succeed in your goals. You need to start thinking like a winner.

You are in a situation that places an extremely heavy emphasis on material success, money, public status, and "creating the right image." This may involve experiences of serious discontent, depression, and even illness -- as this represents an extraordinary perversion of the natural desire for safety, honor, and respect. This energy turns the need for fame, reputation, achievement, and respect into an obsession ... which will stoop to force, coercion, manipulation, exploitation, and abuse in order to accomplish its ends.

This represents action without understanding, without compassion, without accountability, and without considering the results and effects of what one has set in motion. It often involved someone's overweening ego ... and actions taken out of inordinate pride or in order to "save face" or gain importance. There is a lack of consideration, a pervasive attitude of selfishness and concern for appearances that creates a miserable existence.

Life at this point is seriously off track and out of kilter -- and a major crash in order to make a course correction in these circumstances may loom before too long. You may be either the victim or the perpetrator of these conditions ... but regardless of which side of the equation you fall on, you need to get this fixed -- for everyone's sake.

You do harm even to the one you allow to treat you this way if you let this arrangement continue. You will do untold harm to yourself if you are the one putting this deplorable situation into motion in the first place. You may not see a good way out of this mess ... or how to compensate for the problems it is causing, but at least at this point you do understand this is happening ... and that it needs to be corrected ASAP. You are able to deal with this matter openly and directly now.

You need to confront your own immaturity. You have been living too much in the past, clinging to outworn situations, relationships, and worthless associates. Problems from your past continue to pollute conditions in the present ... and deep emotional disappointments keep you from "moving on" ... although that is really your next step in this level of personal growth.

You will find you are caught in unproductive circumstances, dwelling on unhappy past events, dealing with rigid ideas -- your own and those of others. In short, you are not progressing, but are instead sacrificing the present for past longings and regrets ... wondering "what might have been," and staying caught in unproductive nostalgia. You may not see a good way to overcome or compensate for this "stuck" condition -- or you may be in denial that it is having as harmful an effect on you as it is.

Soon, you will need to heal from a period of grief ... or a deep disappointment. You will also need to give yourself time ... and the gentle care ... required to accommodate this emotional recuperation.

Ultimately, you will emerge from conditions in which too much emphasis on materialism corrupted your ability to enjoy life. You will see how you yourself... or someone significant in your situation ... placed too much stock in money, status, position, and other temporal trappings, possibly to the point of abusing himself (or herself!!) or others in his drive to succeed. The belief that this kind of "success" would make him happy will has proved false -- and yet it paved the way for a new level of spiritual awareness and enlightenment to emerge.

The energy of this card indicates the joyful experience of regaining your soul after a time of losing it -- or worse, giving it away -- for one reason or another. Abusive attitudes, practices, and circumstances end ... and better arrangements can now prevail.
