This is a reading on your economic situation at the moment. It deals with the investments, spending habits, management of income, use of possessions, and other physical resources which are central to your interest at this time. Because it deals with material assets, its information can also be applied to issues involving your health.

You are coping with a problem personality -- or destructive set of attitudes. This person is domineering, obstinate, vengeful, cruel. She (or he!) places too much emphasis on her own image -- and is insecure in this identity. She is insincere, shallow, condescending, jealous ... and may pick at or find fault with others in order to undermine their confidence. This may be a tactic to build up her own flagging, unsteady self-image.

This person is also demanding, petty, rigid, vain, lacking in compassion and sympathy. Her attitudes are narrow-minded, bitter, controlling, ruthlessly competitive, and angry. She is self-absorbed, self-centered, and may be given to "ambushing" people -- as a tactic for gaining power. About the best that can be said of this energy is ... it's out in the open where you can work with and confront it directly. It's very easy to spot it ... and tell what's going on.

This may, indeed, be another person you have to cope with -- or it may be an inner personality of yours that is causing trouble, and that has come to the surface now so you can confront and correct its counterproductive effects.

Alternatively: This may be a signal you need to turn inward and reconnect with the inner self that provides confidence, leadership, and support for your sense of who you are and what you can do. This may require some deliberate effort and a recognition that you are badly out of touch with these important character components. If you resonate to this meaning more strongly than to the presence of a difficult person -- or a counter-productive set of attitudes, consider this is the message the card intends to deliver to you now.

Your own clear thinking and creative energies are right at hand and ready for you to use. You can develop and draw on your talents and abilities -- by making decisions you can trust and acting on information that is rock solid and true -- and you know exactly how to apply this asset properly. You know what to do, what to think, what direction to take, how to see your plans through to completion, and how to support your own ideas. Thought and action raised to this level of power are an unbeatable combination.

You are willing to listen to your inner self (or a trusted, wise outside counselor), clarify your thinking, fortify your courage and finally say what you think and own what you know. The benefits of this candor are hard to overstate. Sometimes there are no finer assets than straight thinking and straight talk -- backed up by direct action.

You need to step back, go inward, pause, surrender to the "inevitable," and listen to the counsel of your Inner Self. You are in circumstances that require you to have faith and patience, to accept "being in limbo" for a while, and to suspend decisions and actions while you wait for a better sense of direction ... and the lifting of the fog and confusion that now envelops you.

This is a time to seek inner wisdom, to reverse your usual perspectives on life, to find a way to "look at your situation differently." Things unseen are unfolding beneath the surface of your life that will require you take another view of something you've been seeing too narrowly up til now.

You need to adopt other opinions, see your world and choices differently, release what is familiar -- and let something new come into being. Keep an open mind -- and be ready to accept intuitive advice and "other possibilities" as they present themselves.

You are at a crossroads, a time of transition and waiting. Be still for now, meditate, ponder, reflect -- and consider your next move, but take your time acting in response to what will come into your life at this time.

By now, the option of waiting and having patience may not be such a problem for you as it was in the beginning. You may realize the wisdom of this "strategy of inertia.' You are consciously willing to "wait and see what happens next." This is a conscious part of your thinking.

You understand you have greater freedom, wider options, and more latitude than you once thought. This will help you see your circumstances differently, adopt ideas you wouldn't consider before, or take on viewpoints that once seemed "impossible." This is an important break-through moment.

You are in a time of major change, a time when some elements are ending completely and better -- or at least different -- circumstances are taking their place. This is a time of deep, necessary change ... and then, of course, the inevitable regeneration and improvement.

You may not yet see this process in action yet ... or you may not be allowing it to proceed openly. Something about this still remains out of sight and out of reach for you in this situation, but it will soon make its work and its presence more obvious.

Soon, you will find yourself in a situation where you feel trapped, imprisoned, limited in options, and unable to do anything positive to resolve this issue without a great deal of discomfort and upset. You may feel anxious, worried, and powerless. You may be unable to think clearly about your present circumstances, let alone make constructive, informed decisions.

You may know what needs to be done ... but hold back from doing it for complex and compelling reasons. The "cure" may be worse than the problem in your mind ... and in your paralysis, you simply perpetuate this unpleasant, unproductive stalemate. You may be letting others interfere with your perceptions and decisions.

You may be waiting for life ... or other circumstances to "rescue" you from this arrangement. Through your indecisiveness and cowardice you may simply be building things to a more intense level of crisis -- but that may be what it takes to move you to action. This is a very damned-if-you-do-damned-if-you-don't situation ... but you may prefer putting up with the discomfort -- for now -- than risking what might happen if you really take steps to do what needs to be done.

Ultimately, you will meet a person who is honorable, trustworthy, self-confident, and likeable. This is someone who renders sound judgments, has strong personal values, knows who she (or he!!) is and what she stands for. She is dignified, decisive, competent ... and knows how to support the growth and development of others as well as direct her own evolutionary path with wisdom and integrity.

This may be another person in your situation ... or it may be an important part of your own personality that has come to the fore to help you work with this situation -- and to further its own development for use in the future.
