This is a reading on your economic situation at the moment. It deals with the investments, spending habits, management of income, use of possessions, and other physical resources which are central to your interest at this time. Because it deals with material assets, its information can also be applied to issues involving your health.

You are coping with a lack of initiative, low energy levels, confusion, low self-esteem, and a sense of defeat. Your situation may also contain attitudes of vanity, arrogance, self-absorption, disagreements, and disappointment. You ... or someone in your situation ... may be trying to control others for your own ends.

This is an energy of depression, narrow-thinking, and emptiness. You may feel a lack of purpose, a lack of creativity, a lack of joy. It is possible you are misusing personal energy ... and yet still not gaining the positive respect or attention of others you are seeking.

You have emerged from the fog of a substantial illusion you've been laboring under. You've been acting on false or deceptive information. You may have believed something that was untrue, misguided, or misunderstood. You see reality more clearly, however ... and can now operate from a much more powerful position in the future.

There is much more to this situation than meets the eye ... and you are having to trust your feelings and instincts on this issue to a very great extent, rather than being able to take matters at face value.

One of the important resources you have on your side now is your willingness to take a stand and defend yourself, including the things you value. Your recognition of this strength and your personal determination are important to you now.

Your own clear thinking and creative energies are right at hand and ready for you to use. You could develop and use your talents and abilities -- by making decisions you can trust and acting on information that is rock solid and true -- but for some reason you are failing to apply this asset properly. You may honestly know what to do, what to think, what direction to take, and how to see your plans through to completion, but you're not letting your self-reliance and sound intellect have enough influence to make a difference.

You may need to listen to your inner self (or a trusted, wise outside counselor), clarify your thinking, fortify your courage and finally say what you think and own what you know. The failure or unwillingness you have to use this resource may be costing you a lot at the moment. You may not understand how to use it properly, that you're not, or you may be in denial that it is as much of a loss as it is.

Sometimes there are no finer assets than straight thinking and straight talk, but you do have to be willing to stand up for your opinions, to share what you know, and stand by what you think. You may not be actively hurting yourself with your present strategies ... but you're certainly not making things as easy for yourself as you could be either.

Soon, you will have to cope with a problem personality -- or set of attitudes. This person is domineering, obstinate, vengeful, cruel. She (or he!) places too much emphasis on her own image -- and is insecure in this identity. She is insincere, shallow, condescending, jealous ... and may pick at or find fault with others in order to undermine their confidence. This may be a tactic to build up her own flagging or unsteady self-image.

Her attitudes are demanding, petty, rigid, vain, lacking in compassion and sympathy. She is narrow-minded, bitter, controlling, ruthlessly competitive, and angry. This person is self-absorbed, self-centered, and may be given to "ambushing" people -- as a tactic for gaining power.

This may, indeed, be another person you have to cope with -- or it may be an inner personality of yours that is causing trouble, and that has come to the surface now so you can confront and correct its counterproductive effects.

Ultimately, you will have to cope with someone who has a very impaired sense of self-discipline and a suspicious sense of morality. He may be known for running his "con games" ... both literal and emotional as a tactic for manipulating people and getting his own way. He is dishonest, shady, and out to feather his own nest. He may also be given to addictive habits and patterns. He is always looking for his own advantage ... and that may be all he's interested in.

He will compromise his conscience for gain ... and the exploitation of others. He takes advantage of people's generosity and compassion ... and manipulates them by appealing to their guilt, pity, or their own ideals and better natures. He is very troubled emotionally -- and while he may put on a good front, his personal life is chaotic and undisciplined.

He may make a big show of "helping other people" ... when he should be paying attention to -- and working on -- his own problems. He may play up his "sensitive and caring nature" ... and the fact that his feelings can be easily hurt -- as a way of gaining control over others. The fact is, he is closed, manipulative, and stingy. The sympathy and help he offers is usually bogus ... and the support he tenders will collapse if others really lean on him ... or try to rely on what he offers.

This may be present in the form of another person -- or it may represent parts of your character that need to be addressed and corrected, that have come to the fore for attention or adjustment.
