This is a reading on your economic situation at the moment. It deals with the investments, spending habits, management of income, use of possessions, and other physical resources which are central to your interest at this time. Your situation contains a problematic personality or a counter-productive set of attitudes. This person is wasteful, careless with money, possibly too materialistic or too easily impressed with status symbols. He (or she) is without practical direction, may not show much common sense, may lack "a good head for business," and may be in constant financial distress as a result. This person may also be physically ill -- most likely from poor lifestyle choices.

This is someone who doesn't learn ... even from his own mistakes -- of which there may be plenty to choose from as examples of how not to behave. The attitudes present here are hedonistic, vain, status-conscious, contrary, extravagant, impractical, self-absorbed, and unwilling to listen to the voice of experience.

This may come in the form of another person -- or it may be parts of your own personality you need to confront and correct. You may not feel there is much you can do to correct or compensate for the problems this person or this part of yourself presents, but at this point you at least understand what is going on and are able to confront the matter openly and directly -- for all the good it may do.

Alternatively: You may need to step back, go inward, an reconnect with your own common sense. You may also need to rethink some matter involving your career, business life, or commercial enterprises. You may need to learn some thing you don't know at the moment ... or implement some strategies you have only begun to discover. If you resonate to this meaning more strongly than to the presence of a difficult person -- or a counter-productive set of attitudes, consider this is the message the card intends to deliver to you now.

In addition, your situation contains a personality or a set of attitudes that can be quite positive and helpful. This person is "successful" in the conventional career and financial sense of that word.

He (or she) is a business person, and entrepreneur ... someone who may have sacrificed a great deal for the commercial and professional status he enjoys today. He enjoys staying busy. He sets a practical example for others regarding wealth and the use of material resources -- but he may have neglected his emotional side in pursuit of public honor and regard.

He is a provider, an achiever, someone who enjoys prosperity ... and life's worldly pleasures. He is reliable, steady, solid, even-tempered, conventional practical, and analytical. He places emphasis on efficiency, reality, and having good "business sense." He believes in conservative, old-fashioned values and watching out for "the bottom line."

This may be present in the form of another person -- or it may represent parts of your character that have come to the forefront to help you develop it further.

You have financial and physical assets enough to cope. You also have good values, good common sense, faith in yourself, a grounded perspective, and a resourceful, resilient spirit. You need to use these to your advantage now.

A problematic personality or attitude, someone negative, sarcastic, sly, critical, opinionated, argumentative, and undisciplined poses considerable problems for you. This person is superficial, untrustworthy, and uncooperative ... a trouble-maker and a know-it-all. He or she either triggers these attitudes in you ... or you, too, are part of the problem.

These elements and responses may be part of your personality that you need to handle more productively. You may be coping with the results of "bad news" ... or you may be coping with the fact you've been working at cross-purposes with yourself. You are able to work with this truth honestly and out in the open at this point.

You are in a situation where you can use money and resources wisely. These are circumstances of prosperity where you receive what you deserve and are able to share the bounty with others. It may mark a moment of material gain or an upswing in prosperity. It's possible a gift is involved, or a return on past investments. It is a time of feeling well-off and able to make new investments of yourself and your assets in new projects and other people.

Your own generosity may be on full display -- or you may be the beneficiary of other people who are willing to lend support and help for things you want to accomplish. It's a time of reaping what you've sown -- and you find you have plenty. You may also be prompted to combine your resources with those of others for some effort of mutual gain.

You may also be given opportunities to "branch out" ... and either increase your income or diversify the sources from which it comes. These happy circumstances may not be fully clear to you at the moment ... or you may not be applying them to best advantage. Something about this bounty is still hidden, unused, or inaccessible.

Soon, you will find yourself in circumstances that involve conventional behavior, fulfilling your assigned role, playing by the rules, conforming to social and group expectations, seeking approval, and "doing as you're told." There is no provision for experimentation, change, or innovation. This energy supports, "belonging," maintaining the status quo, and applying traditional routines to deal with issues and problems.

Ultimately, you will reach a place of wealth, stability, comfort, and security ... where you have a comfortable lifestyle and all the resources you need -- at least temporarily.
