This is a reading on your economic situation at the moment. It deals with the investments, spending habits, management of income, use of possessions, and other physical resources which are central to your interest at this time. You are working with a significant moment of victory and success.

You are in a situation where an important goal has not been achieved. You are unsatisfied and running on empty. You may not see a way around this impasse ... but at least it has your complete attention. You may be asking yourself quite seriously, "What do I want to happen here and what does it take to make me happy?"

Your situation contains a person who is objective, perceptive, self-reliant, and an independent thinker. This is someone with an inclination toward solitude, self-directed counsel and opinions, who has a philosophical outlook on life, and may be a good therapist, advisor, or psychologist -- self-educated or otherwise. She (or he) is a thinker, a good judge of people and situation, able to make well-considered decisions, and "cut to the chase" in dealing with information and arguments.

This person is individualistic, analytical, strongly opinionated, and personally intense. She handles facts and information well ... and may be a good communicator. This may be another person in your situation ... or it may be an important part of your own personality that has come to the fore to help you work with this situation -- and to further its own development for use in the future. You have this asset readily at hand, and can apply it to your own benefit whenever you choose. It is having a considerable and positive influence on your thinking and decisions now.

A "personality factor" is also part of the equation now, someone fussy, complaining, overly sensitive, paranoid, frustrated, and emotionally undisciplined. This person may be often over-wrought and fretful, obsessive, clinging, and demanding of sympathy and "support" from loved ones -- while offering very little in the way of compassion or even self-control in return. You have finally begun to recognize the problems this person ... or these attitudes ... cause, seeing them at last for what they are.

Alternatively: This card could be suggesting that you need to practice more diligent self-care, be more aware of your own need for love, compassion, and emotional support. Often it comes when life and the demands of those in your relationships have exhausted your resources to the point that you need to pull back, take time out for recuperation, and replenish yourself.

You need to become your own best friend for a while ... and restore yourself to the point that you can be that for others again. This may not happen overnight ... but the fact is, you can't give away what you don't have for yourself in the first place -- and it's time to fortify your inner self, in whatever actions are needed, so that you can become a positive source of support for yourself and those you love ... again.

Your situation contains a problematic personality or set of counter-productive attitudes. This person is lazy, dishonest, a swindler, a fraud. He (or she) is irresponsible, manipulative, overly concerned with creature comforts or "taking the easy way out." He is self-indulgent, a "taker," a false friend .. and an emotional drain on those around him.

Attitudes present here include insincerity, "living in a dream world," wanting others to take care of him or rescue him, and being focused only on how he can "use" people.

This may be present in the form of another person -- or it may represent parts of your character that need to be addressed and corrected. You may not realize how much this person -- or these attitudes -- are harming your ability to launch effective action. Or you may feel there is really no way to compensate for the problems that are occurring.

You will soon see a dramatic change for the better in your circumstances ... an improvement almost as magical as a stroke of good luck. A new period of growth and expansion is at hand.

Ultimately, you will find yourself in a position of strength ... where you are able to use your own force, fortitude, and power to great advantage. This energy contains tremendous energy, steadfastness, and self-confidence. You are accessing abundant sources of inner power ... and using this to your own benefit out in the real world. You are willing to take on challenging projects ... and you have the determination to follow them through to success.
