This is a reading on your economic situation at the moment. It deals with the investments, spending habits, management of income, use of possessions, and other physical resources which are central to your interest at this time. A problem "personality factor" is affecting your situation, someone who is financially dependent, ill, or physically helpless. She (or he) may be impractical, wasteful, status-conscious, materialistic, superficial, judgmental, and irresponsible. She may be making no use of her own abilities, not trying to care for herself physically, unable to manage her economic life, and constantly in need of support and rescue.

She may blame others for her problems, be critical, fault-finding, and hard to get along with, have a confused professional life or unrealistic ambitions, and be full of great dreams and fantasies -- but with no actual achievement to back them up.

This may be another person. This may be the response elicited from you as a result of the stress you are having to handle, or it may be one of your own inner selves coming to your attention for you to notice and adjust. It is having a significant influence on your thinking and your choices at this point.

Alternatively: This card could be suggesting that you need to step back, go inward, and consider how you are failing to nourish yourself properly, or failing to provide for and support yourself properly. You may be trying to "take care of everybody else" ... to your own detriment. It's time to reconsider the load you are trying to handle ... and what you may be getting in return for all the effort you are spending.

If you resonate to this meaning more than to the presence of a problem person ... or a difficult set of your own attitudes, it is likely this is the message the card is sending to you.

Additionally, you are in a situation of high anxiety, despair, and emotional upset serious enough to qualify as torment.

You need to step back, go inward, pause, surrender to the "inevitable," and listen to the counsel of your Inner Self. You are in circumstances that require you to have faith and patience, to accept "being in limbo" for a while, and to suspend decisions and actions while you wait for a better sense of direction ... and the lifting of the fog and confusion that now envelops you.

This is a time to seek inner wisdom, to reverse your usual perspectives on life, to find a way to "look at your situation differently." Things unseen are unfolding beneath the surface of your life that will require you take another view of something you've been seeing too narrowly up til now.

You need to adopt other opinions, see your world and choices differently, release what is familiar -- and let something new come into being. Keep an open mind -- and be ready to accept intuitive advice and "other possibilities" as they present themselves.

You are at a crossroads, a time of transition and waiting. Be still for now, meditate, ponder, reflect -- and consider your next move, but take your time acting in response to what will come into your life at this time.

This energy is that of speaking the truth, bringing thoughts into physical manifestation, saying what you mean, and asking directly for what you want. Sometimes there are no finer assets than straight thinking and straight talk.

Long term, you'll emerge from the fog of a substantial illusion you've been laboring under. You may have been acting on false or deceptive information. You may have believed something that will prove to be untrue, misguided, or misunderstood. You will see reality for what it is, however ... which will let you operate from a much more powerful position in the future.
