This is a reading on your relationships -- describing the major theme of your association with other people right now. This includes partners, friends, parents, children, other family members, and all others who are contained in the relationships that have your attention now.

You are in a situation where your inclination is to accept shallow, surface answers, where "appearances" are all that matters -- or all that you believe. This is an energy of self-deception, not listening to your feelings and intuition, acting from conceit and pride. It may be too easy to rationalize away what you really know to be true. You may not really dig for deeper answers.

You may also be dealing with people who are one-sided, closed-minded, insensitive, and concerned with keeping up an image. They may provoke some of the same responses in you -- or you may be contributing your fair share all along.

You may wind up making wrong choices, acting irrationally from deep-seated fears and phobias, unable to make decisions you can trust, and unable to see the real issues clearly. You may pull inward for self-protection ... and be loath to take any risks -- because you don't know what to believe.

This is the result of not following your own instincts, of not listening to the wisdom of your heart, of contradicting your own conscience and inner wisdom, and of not being true to yourself. It's a mighty high price to pay.

You also have an important asset in your situation ... a helpful person or a very beneficial set of attitudes. This person is introspective -- but may have a very upbeat and enthusiastic personality. He (or she!) is loving, sensitive, caring, artistic, cultured, and eager to please. He may be quite imaginative ... someone who values both learning and social connections. Feelings are important to him ... and happiness in his world means having the opportunity to enjoy some of life's finer and more sophisticated pleasures.

He is diplomat, a natural psychologist, a peacemaker who knows how to work with the give and take of relationships. He has a kind, gentle, sentimental, and compassionate personality. He pays attention to his intuition ... and may be fairly described as "emotional" ... easily moved by empathy and concern. He is affectionate, easy to like, though also moody and idealistic ... possibly just a little too impractical and trusting to move easily through this world.

This energy may come in the form of another person -- or it may be parts of your own personality coming to the forefront to aid you or promote their own further development. It may also represent a sudden intuitive feeling, dream or creative inspiration about something you are trying to accomplish or become -- something which offers you the encouragement you've been looking for and enables you to go forward.

Further, it can signal the beginning of a new relationship, a new emotional connection, or involvement in a new creative venture.

You have reached a place of triumph, success, and advancement. You are in control of your life and its ongoing stages of development. You are "in flow," in the right place at the right time, and able to respond to changes and opportunities with balance and poise. This energy is that of success earned by hard work and self-reliance. You know your confidence and optimism are well founded. You also feel centered, positive, energetic, and "in charge." This wonderful mindset has significant influence on your thinking and choices now.

You are in a situation of restlessness, desire for change, and a need to restore balance to circumstances that have gone off center. You need to deal with unfairness, pressure, and coercion. You may also have to confront wastefulness, self-indulgence, and instability -- either from you or from someone influential in your situation. Overbearing attitudes and unnecessary force may be on display -- either from you or from someone else.

You are misdirecting your energy ... and perhaps placing yourself under tension and stress, which may affect you physically. You need moderation and greater mental clarity. You or someone else may be overly opinionated, self-willed, compulsive, and self-centered.

You are operating on "automatic pilot" ... or are otherwise out of control or failing to give proper direction to your life. You are out of touch and off-track, but at this point you do consciously realize this and are able to work with the problem directly and honestly.

You need to confront a problematic personality or set of counter-productive attitudes. This may involve a person who takes too many foolish chances with money, who is wasteful with resources, who often shows addictive behavior, or who is physically ill.

He (or she) may be powerful in your career, business, or financial structures. He may also be "keeping you dependent" for some reason. The attitudes featured here may be dishonesty, shady dealings, "anything for a buck," wastefulness, impracticality, fraudulent ideas and dealings, materialism, workaholism, a lack of scruples, materialism, and an overwhelming concern with status.

This may be present in the form of another person -- or it may represent parts of your character that need to be addressed and corrected. You may be in denial about how much of a problem this person or these attitudes represent to you. You may not feel there is anything you can do to improve the situation -- or you may not consciously understand that this energy is present yet to the extent it is.

Soon, you will meet experiences that include serious quarrelling, anxiety, and deep philosophical disagreement. This is an extremely disagreeable situation, containing, as it does, elements of defeat, unfairness, failure, slander, cruelty, cowardliness, and malice. You may feel you have been treated unfairly ... or realize that you have done so to others. (Possibly both.)

This is a situation of insensitivity, fear, the realization that you are not following your conscience -- if you pause long enough to rationally consider what is happening here. You are pushing an issue ... or using force ... often to no good avail, often to avoid changing your mind about something dear or important to you. Or you are feeling coerced and pressured to change your opinions ... or surrender your ideas ... by circumstances or another person.

This is an energy of victimization, and because energy is always a two way street, you may be either the victim, the perpetrator, or quite likely ... both. You may have to cope with feelings of revenge, the consequences of your self-defeating actions, or the consequences of ruthless responses.

Even "winning" here gains you nothing but an empty victory. You are likely locked into circumstances which involve mind games, game-playing, scoring points, getting even, and working to get "one up" on someone else -- and vice versa. You need desperately to change your thinking.

Ultimately, you will find yourself in a situation where you feel trapped, imprisoned, limited in options, and unable to do anything positive to resolve this issue without a great deal of discomfort and upset. You may feel anxious, worried, and powerless. You may be unable to think clearly about your present circumstances, let alone make constructive, informed decisions.

You may know what needs to be done ... but hold back from doing it for complex and compelling reasons. The "cure" may be worse than the problem in your mind ... and in your paralysis, you simply perpetuate this unpleasant, unproductive stalemate. You may be letting others interfere with your perceptions and decisions.

You may be waiting for life ... or other circumstances to "rescue" you from this arrangement. Through your indecisiveness and cowardice you may simply be building things to a more intense level of crisis -- but that may be what it takes to move you to action. This is a very damned-if-you-do-damned-if-you-don't situation ... but you may prefer putting up with the discomfort -- for now -- than risking what might happen if you really take steps to do what needs to be done.
