This is a reading on the general conditions of your Life.

You have reached a period when it is appropriate to stop, pause, consider, analyze, examine your situation, weigh your options, judge your resources and assets, confirm your allies and partnerships, and test your own desire and determination concerning a new direction that appeals to you or a new venture you have in mind.

You need to compare your visions and ambitions against what is realistic and possible ... to see if you have any substantial flaws caused by your own enthusiasm that you need to consider or correct before you go any farther. This is a time of "going through your check list" ... to make sure everything you need is in place for the journey ahead -- including your own resolve to launch new efforts and see them through to completion.

You need to consider "what it takes to succeed here," get feedback and ideas from others, talk things over, listen to the consultation and advice of people you trust -- and who may be companions on this journey, too. Go over your plans one more time ... and get ready to make your moves.

This time may feel like things are "stopped dead still' and that you are "waiting" for something (which may not be easy if your temperament doesn't take well to the advice that you "hold your horses" and "have a little patience") -- but this is an essential part of a successful venture. Jumping the gun, when a little more time would pay off handsomely, is a terrible waste ... of everything.

Additionally, you are in a situation that is confused, stalled, frustrating, blocked, and which doesn't let you live up to your potential. A lack of leadership, vision, personal commitment, and no overall sense of objectives or direction hinders any further growth or progress for the moment.

You may be caught in a sequence of false starts, misdirected energy, setbacks, delays, obstacles, and helplessness. You may also be dealing with uncooperative attitudes from others ... and from life itself. You are wasting yourself on this merry-go-round ... and wasting your time, resources, and abilities. You're just not getting anywhere ... until you make some changes to whatever is causing this inertia. Consider that at least part of the problem likely is you.

It is time to make a new beginning, construct a new vision of what you want to accomplish -- or become, or launch a new start buoyed on a new sense of self-confidence and new opportunities. This may involve a new sense of who you are, new ways of honoring and "being true" to yourself, new purposes, and new goals.

You need to embrace new energy and enthusiasm ... and know you are going in the right direction and stepping up to a new level of personal development and achievements. At last you are able to use these wonderful assets properly on your own behalf -- and they have your complete attention now.

Your situation contains a problematic personality or set of counter-productive attitudes. This person is lazy, dishonest, a swindler, a fraud. He (or she) is irresponsible, manipulative, overly concerned with creature comforts or "taking the easy way out." He is self-indulgent, a "taker," a false friend .. and an emotional drain on those around him. Attitudes present here include insincerity, "living in a dream world," wanting others to take care of him or rescue him, and being focused only on how he can "use" people.

This may be present in the form of another person -- or it may represent parts of your character that need to be addressed and corrected. You realize how much this person -- or these attitudes -- are harming your ability to launch effective action. You are at least able to deal with this matter openly and directly -- even if you feel limited in your choices about what to do with it.

You have someone available to help you with this matter. This person is artistic, creative, well in touch with his (or her) emotions. He has a deep respect for life and living things, and a compassion that enables him to work constructively with less fortunate, dependent people. He is an idealist ... especially when it comes to love and his ability to work with others.

He is charming and enjoys people -- friends and family in particular. He is a dreamer ... and may be something of a mystic. He can help you "find what's in your heart" regarding the matter you are working with. He may also be able to show you the hidden, emotional, or artistic dimensions of your situation.

This may be another person, who is able to draw out similar responses and attitudes in you -- or it may be one of your inner selves who has come to the fore in order to be recognized, lend assistance, and work with you for greater strength and mutual development. You may not see how to apply his gifts at the moment, however. Or you may not yet understand that this asset is available to you.

Soon, you will be in a situation that includes substantial dishonesty in what you say, think, believe ... or are told. The information you are working with will be unreliable ... possibly by "putting a better face" on rather unpleasant facts. This is an energy of self-sabotage, of being complicit in your own undoing, of letting yourself be talked into something when you know better -- by accepting excuses, rationalizations, and pretty cover stories. You may even be making these up and telling them to yourself. You may learn in time you have been your own worst enemy by adopting this strategy.

This card depicts reaping the consequences of past bad actions, lies -- perhaps ones you have told yourself or lulled yourself into believing, not paying close attention to what really matters, making decisions based on wishful thinking or deceitful information, weaseling, and either trying to get away with something ... or letting somebody else get away with something -- again, when you really know better than to trust what is happening here.

This is literally an energy of theft and deception. You ... or someone else ... is trying to gain something you have not earned (which could be money, possessions, position, status, regard, or "credit" for something that doesn't really belong to you), are using sweet-talk and fabrications to support your claim, or are playing head games and trying to pull a fast one. Something about the way you think about, work with, and report this situation needs to be corrected -- and fast.

Ultimately, you are moving into a time of rebirth, glorious opportunities, and new beginnings. This may be the start of a whole new set of adventures and creative expression -- or you may be moving on to something finer and more exciting that is a continuation of where you are presently, built on the foundation of your own wisdom and achievements to this point.
