This is a reading on your relationships -- describing the major theme of your association with other people right now. This includes partners, friends, parents, children, other family members, and all others who are contained in the relationships that have your attention now.

You are in a situation that contains considerable dishonesty in what you say, think, believe ... or in what you are being told. The information you are working with is unreliable ... possibly by "putting a better face" on rather unpleasant facts. This is an energy of self-sabotage, of being complicit in your own undoing, of letting yourself be talked into something when you know better -- by accepting excuses, rationalizations, and pretty cover stories. You may even be making these up and telling them to yourself. You may learn in time you have been your own worst enemy by adopting this strategy.

This card depicts reaping the consequences of past bad actions, lies -- perhaps ones you have told yourself or lulled yourself into believing, not paying close attention to what really matters, making decisions based on wishful thinking or deceitful information, weaseling, and either trying to get away with something ... or letting somebody else get away with something -- again, when you really know better than to trust what is happening here.

This is literally an energy of theft and deception. You ... or someone else ... is trying to gain something you have not earned (which could be money, possessions, position, status, regard, or "credit" for something that doesn't really belong to you), are using sweet-talk and fabrications to support your claim, or are playing head games and trying to pull a fast one. Something about the way you think about, work with, and report this situation needs to be corrected -- and fast.

Additionally, you have reached a significant conclusion to regarding this experience and are judging the work here complete and successful. There is a sense of release, renewal, and the ability to change your focus to another set of challenges -- complete with the new personal wisdom you've acquired. You are satisfied with your decisions and what you have accomplished. The eventual results here may, in fact, accrue to you as positive karma. At this point, you realize you are at completion.

In your viewpoints, outlook, and opinions, you are in a position of strength ... where you can use your own force, fortitude, and power to great advantage. This energy contains tremendous energy, steadfastness, and self-confidence. You have access to abundant sources of inner power ... that you can use to your own benefit out in the real world. You are willing to take on challenging projects with the determination to follow them through to success. This is having significant influence on your thinking and choices at the moment.

You feel self-indulgent, lazy, out of focus, and stagnant. Your creativity is on hold ... or you are yourself drifting emotionally. You feel a loss of focus or lack of connection in your social life, friendships, and relationships. You need new interests, new opportunities for growth, new projects to excite your soul.

You and others are taking each other for granted. You are unsatisfied with the love and support levels available to you. You feel friendless and isolated ... and while you may put on a good front -- that's what it is. A front.

You are, however, aware that this level of dissatisfaction exists ... and are working to change it honestly and openly. You may have limited options for change at the moment ... but you are at least aware of your ability to exercise them, or seek new ones.

You have come to the discovery, the realization, that you "haven't arrived yet" at a destination you've been working toward for quite a while. You may be at the very place where you were originally heading ... but with more experience and perspective, you see it is just an interim stage on the way to a much larger goal.

You may feel let down and dissatisfied, because instead of being at the end!! of this particular endeavor, venture, or project, you are still somewhere in the middle -- with yet more work to accomplish. Another possibility is you've found you've achieved something that no longer suits you ... something you really no longer want or can use.

You need a major course correction to set yourself on a more productive path. You may still be in denial about this ... or you may not consciously understand the extent of the changes needed or the way to go about making them.

Soon, you will find yourself in a situation where you are "caught unprepared" for the challenge you face. You may be pressured by superior opposition or some kind of competition where you are ill-equipped to prevail. The upshot is, you are not ready to defend yourself or your position adequately. You may feel threatened, "taken advantage of," and outmaneuvered.

You may be unable or unwilling to do what is needed or successfully confront your adversaries. You may choose to turn and run rather than stand your ground. You may simply lack the courage and willpower to deal with what is present at this point.

This is an energy of feeling anxious, uncomfortable, outnumbered, unpopular, powerless, friendless, and victimized.

Long term, however, you will find you have pushed yourself to the point of collapse -- and possibly illness -- because of the load of commitments, responsibilities, and stress you are handling. The need for you to "do it all" itself needs to change.
