This is a reading on your economic situation at the moment. Alternatively: You have reached a time of reassessing and realigning your sense of who you are -- something you may have misunderstood for a while. You are reaching new conclusions about your identity, your desires, and your effectiveness at reaching goals. These changes may not yet show on the outside, but inside, where you live, a quiet revolution is taking place that will improve things for you significantly in time.

If you resonate to this meaning more than to the presence of a difficult person in your situation, consider that this is the message the card carries for you in this instance.

In addition, you are coping with a problematic personality or a counter-productive set of attitudes. This person is wasteful, careless with money, possibly too materialistic or too easily impressed with status symbols. He (or she) is without practical direction, may not show much common sense, may lack "a good head for business," and may be in constant financial distress as a result. This person may also be physically ill -- most likely from poor lifestyle choices.

This is someone who doesn't learn ... even from his own mistakes -- of which there may be plenty to choose from as examples of how not to behave. The attitudes present here are hedonistic, vain, status-conscious, contrary, extravagant, impractical, self-absorbed, and unwilling to listen to the voice of experience.

This may come in the form of another person -- or it may be parts of your own personality you need to confront and correct. You may not feel there is much you can do to correct or compensate for the problems this person or this part of yourself presents, but at this point you at least understand what is going on and are able to confront the matter openly and directly -- for all the good it may do.

Alternatively: You may need to step back, go inward, an reconnect with your own common sense. You may also need to rethink some matter involving your career, business life, or commercial enterprises. You may need to learn some thing you don't know at the moment ... or implement some strategies you have only begun to discover. If you resonate to this meaning more strongly than to the presence of a difficult person -- or a counter-productive set of attitudes, consider this is the message the card intends to deliver to you now.

You have circumstances that include adequate recognition and compensation for the services you perform and the work you do. It is a condition of achievement and competence ... where you receive what you have earned, including appreciation and financial payment. You are working on something that will serve you well in the future -- and acquiring the skills and assets you need to improve yourself and your circumstances.

You are able to take pride in your accomplishments and the reputation you have because of them. You are also able to apply this to your advantage in this situation ... and you know it. This is having considerable influence on your thinking and choices at the moment.

You will bring this matter to a successful conclusion. You realize this. You are able to consciously work to make this happen. You know how to go about accomplishing success now.

You are in circumstances where your prosperity is threatened. You may be dealing with money that has strings attached, circumstances that are unfair, where money is combined with ulterior motives, where you are not getting what you deserve, or where you are not recognized or rewarded properly for what you produce.

This energy also entails financial manipulation, coercion, unethical practices, greed, and misrepresentation. Somebody is being cheated. Whether you are the victim or the perpetrator, you will need to correct this situation ASAP. You may not see a good way to deal with or compensate for this situation ... or you may be in denial about the extent to which it is handicapping your successful resolution of this matter.

Soon, you will come to a necessary time of recovery -- recuperating from the stress of what you've been through. You will need to find the courage to start again after a time of defeat and disappointment.

Your current situation may not work out as you hope. You may invest a lot more into it than it pays you back. Or the results themselves may constitute a kind of recovery from some experience that is historically related -- but not directly visible regarding recent events -- the ones that make necessary this time of convalescence and the reclaiming of your personal and moral center.

You may come through turmoil and upset serious enough to be called a crisis ... and need to move forward again by leaving a bad situation behind. It's the bad situation that is part of your history that leaves a lingering pain and is responsible for the crisis of faith that may result when all the dust here settles.

Ultimately, a personality problem surfaces whom you will have to confront or cope with. He (or she) might legitimately be called a trouble-maker. There is a sly cunning to this character, and a secretive, scheming "mean streak" that may make him (or her) particularly hard to get along with. Attitudes of aggression, sarcasm, cynicism, and pettiness dominate -- along with an insufferable spirit of narcissism that may be almost impossible to stomach.
