This is a reading on your economic situation at the moment. It deals with the investments, spending habits, management of income, use of possessions, and other physical resources which are central to your interest at this time. You are moving on rapidly, confident of your choices and direction, full speed ahead with a clear path and a green light.

You are in a situation where a problematic personality or attitude has considerable negative influence. This involves someone living in a dream world, someone who emphasizes the fact that he (or she!) is "fragile," "sensitive," "refined," and "artistic" as a way to escape real life problems and responsibilities. This is someone who expects too much and gives too little and who doesn't know how to conduct balanced emotional relationships.

This is someone who wants to be loved without being loving, who gets his feelings hurt easily, who is manipulative, who "plays mind games," who looks for trouble and sees insults and slights where none were intended. This person is lazy, lonely, "victimized," and may have psychological and possibly addictive problems. He wastes time. He doesn't use his talent. He doesn't try anything ... because he's convinced he's fail, it won't turn out well, it's not worth the trouble, etc.

Depression may be a problem ... as may paranoia and anxiety. This person is insecure, thoughtless, and irresponsible. This may exist in the form of another person -- who triggers negative responses of a similar nature in you. Or it may turn out to be an inner part of you all along -- a personality constellation that has come to the surface for attention and adjustment.

You may not see a good way to "get rid" of this person ... or how to adequately compensate for the problems he causes, but at least you realize this situation exists and needs attention.

Alternatively: This card's energy can also indicate you need to look within yourself for new sources of pleasure and creative expression. A new level, a new round of expression, regarding your own sense of joy, artistry, and emotional satisfaction is waiting to make itself known to you. If this meaning resonates more strongly with you than the description of the person above, then consider this as the card's primary message.

You are in a situation that contains considerable dishonesty in what you say, think, believe ... or in what you are being told. The information you are working with is unreliable ... possibly by "putting a better face" on rather unpleasant facts. This is an energy of self-sabotage, of being complicit in your own undoing, of letting yourself be talked into something when you know better -- by accepting excuses, rationalizations, and pretty cover stories. You may even be making these up and telling them to yourself. You may learn in time you have been your own worst enemy by adopting this strategy.

This card depicts reaping the consequences of past bad actions, lies -- perhaps ones you have told yourself or lulled yourself into believing, not paying close attention to what really matters, making decisions based on wishful thinking or deceitful information, weaseling, and either trying to get away with something ... or letting somebody else get away with something -- again, when you really know better than to trust what is happening here.

This is literally an energy of theft and deception. You ... or someone else ... is trying to gain something you have not earned (which could be money, possessions, position, status, regard, or "credit" for something that doesn't really belong to you), are using sweet-talk and fabrications to support your claim, or are playing head games and trying to pull a fast one. Something about the way you think about, work with, and report this situation needs to be corrected -- and fast. It is having substantial influence over your thinking and choices at the moment.

You are dealing with a lot of impatience. You may be making or have recently made some moves that were not well-considered and which do not have the support you need to make the most of the changes they bring. You could also be letting other people dominate your thinking and "make your decisions for you."

You are not considering your options, possibilities, responsibilities, resources, or abilities in ways that offer you the full range of available potentials. You may, instead, be kicking up misunderstandings, opposition ... or at the least a lack of cooperation from those you need to help you succeed in this present venture. You may also be coping with a lot of mixed messages and your own ambivalence.

As long as things are jumbled as they are regarding this energy of "missing alliances and no support," you might be wise to pause and wait for things to clear before proceeding. Right now you are not heading toward a successful result or the advantageous use of what you are working with. About the best that can be said for this card's energy is that you recognize the problem for what it is ... and can deal honestly and directly with the trouble it causes you.

Alternatively: This card can indicate you have decided to "go back to the drawing board" in terms of partners and allies, outside resources, or your own mixed feelings on this matter and try to reorganize this part of your situation into something more cohesive. There may not be much difference showing in the outside world yet, but you are making some important inner changes and behind the scenes adjustments that will be better in the long run.

If this meaning resonates strongly with you regarding your present situation, consider that it also is a message the card is suggesting for you to receive.

Your situation contains a person who is objective, perceptive, self-reliant, and an independent thinker. This is someone with an inclination toward solitude, self-directed counsel and opinions, who has a philosophical outlook on life, and may be a good therapist, advisor, or psychologist -- self-educated or otherwise. She (or he) is a thinker, a good judge of people and situation, able to make well-considered decisions, and "cut to the chase" in dealing with information and arguments.

This person is individualistic, analytical, strongly opinionated, and personally intense. She handles facts and information well ... and may be a good communicator. This may be another person in your situation ... or it may be an important part of your own personality that has come to the fore to help you work with this situation -- and to further its own development for use in the future. You may not yet be listening to the advice that is offered, however, or you may not realize how to apply this asset to your own best advantage.

You will soon reach a time of major change regarding this issue, a time when some elements will end completely and better -- or at least different -- circumstances will take their place. This will be a time of deep, necessary change ... and then, of course, the inevitable regeneration and improvement.

Ultimately, you will have to cope with a problem personality -- or set of attitudes. This person is domineering, obstinate, vengeful, cruel. She (or he!) places too much emphasis on her own image -- and is insecure in this identity. She is insincere, shallow, condescending, jealous ... and may pick at or find fault with others in order to undermine their confidence. This may be a tactic to build up her own flagging or unsteady self-image.

Other attitudes on display here are demanding, petty, rigid, vain, lacking in compassion and sympathy. They may also be narrow-minded, bitter, controlling, ruthlessly competitive, and angry. This person is self-absorbed, self-centered, and may be given to "ambushing" people -- as a tactic for gaining power.

This may, indeed, be another person you have to cope with -- or it may be an inner personality of yours that is causing trouble, and that has come to the surface now so you can confront and correct its counterproductive effects.
