This is a reading on your relationships -- describing the major theme of your association with other people right now. This includes partners, friends, parents, children, other family members, and all others who are contained in the relationships that have your attention now.

You are able to take responsibility for your life and what you are creating with it. You possess loyalty, steadfastness, courage, and the ability to "meet the competition and succeed." Obviously, this is a position of considerable advantage, allowing you to create success, even against opposition. At this point, you realize these resources are yours to use -- and are applying themselves properly in your own service.

You are able to confront problems and take a stand for what you want and believe, to maintain your position with confidence and poise, to show faith in yourself and your purpose -- and you are using these qualities and attitudes to your own benefit.

You know how to defend what is important to you, and you resolve disputes without caving in under pressure or compromising your integrity. You understand the importance of using these resources and responses to help your cause ... and are willing to openly and directly "use all your assets" in working with this matter.

You recognize that an exciting new period of growth and expansion is at hand ... and there is more here than meets the eye. This represents a very positive change in your circumstances and a definite upward trend in the issues you are coping with.

You are in a time of unexpected, serious, and sudden changes. This energy is that of disruption, sweeping -- even catastrophic -- changes and adjustments. Old ideas -- even previous ways of living ... are coming to an end. This may indicate a breakdown in conditions you'd considered solid, permanent, and reliable. It may be brought about by a sudden insight ... or information you'd not previously known -- or been taking into account.

Realize that dramatic as these experiences may be, they can also usher in times of considerable improvement. You are releasing old ways of life, old habits. This may coincide with a dramatic expansion of consciousness or perspective. There is also the possibility of a disturbing "message of truth" you will have to accommodate. You may find you literally see the world as never before. Your whole picture of reality may be different.

This is a change in your overall view of life and your psychological programming. A basic belief about yourself, your circumstances, and "the way the world works" is in the making. Keep reminding yourself, times of crisis can also be ones of great growth. At least you are able to work with this energy openly and directly. It is having a substantial influence on your views and decisions.

You are coping with a problem personality -- or destructive set of attitudes. This person is domineering, obstinate, vengeful, cruel. She (or he!) places too much emphasis on her own image -- and is insecure in this identity. She is insincere, shallow, condescending, jealous ... and may pick at or find fault with others in order to undermine their confidence. This may be a tactic to build up her own flagging, unsteady self-image.

This person is also demanding, petty, rigid, vain, lacking in compassion and sympathy. Her attitudes are narrow-minded, bitter, controlling, ruthlessly competitive, and angry. She is self-absorbed, self-centered, and may be given to "ambushing" people -- as a tactic for gaining power. About the best that can be said of this energy is ... it's out in the open where you can work with and confront it directly. It's very easy to spot it ... and tell what's going on.

This may, indeed, be another person you have to cope with -- or it may be an inner personality of yours that is causing trouble, and that has come to the surface now so you can confront and correct its counterproductive effects.

Alternatively: This may be a signal you need to turn inward and reconnect with the inner self that provides confidence, leadership, and support for your sense of who you are and what you can do. This may require some deliberate effort and a recognition that you are badly out of touch with these important character components. If you resonate to this meaning more strongly than to the presence of a difficult person -- or a counter-productive set of attitudes, consider this is the message the card intends to deliver to you now.

You need to heal from a period of grief ... or a deep disappointment. You will also need to give yourself time ... and the gentle care ... required to accommodate this emotional recuperation. You may be in denial about just how seriously this time of sorrow ... or this injurious experience ... has hurt you. You may not want to acknowledge it openly. You may not know "how to get over it" you. You are not dealing with this matter openly or honestly, however. You may still not have objectively assessed its dimensions and impact.

Soon, you will find yourself in circumstances that are balanced, stable, successful, "complete but not satisfying." This energy contains feelings of boredom, stagnation, discontent, lack of motivation, and even mild depression.

At this point, you will need to re-evaluate your situation, your priorities, potentials, relationships, needs, and desires. It will be time to look inward, see how you need to re-engage with life, break up some of your familiar but stale routines, and find a new situation where you are doing more than treading water and "going through the motions."

Ultimately, you will meet someone as a result of this matter -- or who will help you work through what is happening here. This person is focused on his professional development, determined to make a successful career for himself, shows financial wisdom and savvy business sense, and knows how to achieve practical results.

He is patient, methodical, dependable, trustworthy, and resourceful. He takes pride in doing a good job ... and is both conservative and hard-working.

This may be another person, who is able to draw out similar responses and attitudes in you -- or it may be one of your inner selves who has come to the fore in order to be recognized, lend assistance, and work with you for greater strength and mutual development.
