This is a reading on the general conditions of your Life.

You are in a place where you can ... or need to withdraw from the stresses of the outside world, take some time for yourself, and seek the greater comfort and counsel of your own Inner Self. This should be a time of active spiritual seeking, of discovering life's meaning in terms of your own spiritual truth, of seeking your own direction and listening to your inner counsel. It should also be a time of creative visualization, of absorbing wisdom, of gaining greater insight, and setting personal goals.

You need to use this strategy for your own gain now, and realize it is available to you. Your compass at this point needs to center on the dedication to do what is right and true for you, be open-minded, quiet, and observant, to enjoy the comfort of your solitude, and stabilize yourself and your expanding wisdom in the serenity available to you now.

This is a period of valuing your own time and space, of experiencing your own self-awareness, and having the patience to be tolerant, introspective, and questioning all at the same time. It is a time of contemplation ... and of drawing conclusions from the accumulated wisdom of your own life's experience. From this will come the knowledge you need to make the proper decisions. Consider this an opportunity to acquire and use your own enlightenment in the best possible ways for all.

You are in circumstances where a lack of money, possessions, or other resources is causing you concern You may also have health or lifestyle issues that need to be addressed and corrected. You may not yet see a good way to compensate for this ... but at least you understand the extent of the problem, and are dealing with it as best you can.

You have a problematic personality or set of counter-productive attitudes to deal with. This person is intolerant, temperamental, pompous, conceited, vain, and full of empty ambitions -- great plans that come to nothing. He (or she) wants things handed to him without effort ... and may be dealing with low self-esteem, poor impulse control, defensiveness, and jealousy.

The attitudes present in this situation include selfishness, impulsiveness, bossiness, and anger -- often poorly controlled anger. This may be present in the form of another person -- or it may represent parts of your character that need to be addressed and corrected. This energy is having considerable impact on your thinking now -- and while you may still be looking for better methods and tactics to handle it, it does have your complete attention.

Alternatively: You may have to reconsider the direction you are taking and the kind of leadership you are offering yourself with your choices and goals. Something about your vision and ambitions may be off-track -- either the intensity with which you are pursuing wrong-headed decisions or the lack of commitment you have to your own declared intentions.

There is also a problem personality complicating the picture, someone who qualifies as a real trouble-maker. There is a sly cunning to this character, and a secretive, scheming "mean streak" that may make him (or her) particularly hard to get along with. Attitudes of aggression, sarcasm, cynicism, and pettiness dominate -- along with an insufferable spirit of narcissism that may be almost impossible to stomach. You have finally begun to understand how important it is for you to deal with this person ... and the attitudes that accompany him.

Alternatively: You may realize how much you need to focus on your own unproductive ideas, opinions, beliefs, and prejudices ... and make some corrections in the way you view and handle this matter so as to stop being part of the problem instead of part of the solution. If you resonate to this meaning more strongly than to the presence of a difficult "other person" as described above, this is likely the message this card is offering to you.

Alternatively: You may need to refocus on your own thinking, opinions, and the way you express your ideas. You may be acting on wrong information. Your prejudices or a serious misunderstanding of the facts could be having too much influence on your thinking. You may be pushing your opinions too hard and alienating others from considering your views objectively. You may realize you've been too one-sided in your thinking or that you haven't been listening well.

You may have decided to pull back for a while and reconsider some of your stronger views and the way you express them that could actually be either misguided ... or hurting your own cause. If you resonate to this meaning more strongly than to the presence of a difficult person or unproductive set of personal attitudes, consider that this is the message the card is giving you on the matter at hand.

You have an tremendously important unused resource in your situation. You are in circumstances of happiness, support, positive relationships, stable emotional conditions, and tremendous satisfaction. Life is reliable, predictable, secure, peaceful, good ... and you should enjoy being here. But, for some reason, you are not applying this to benefit to your own advantage.

This is a time when you ought to be able to rely on your feelings, know what to expect, what you can count on, and who your "friends" are. It may be you simply don't trust your situation enough to know you can turn to this resource as completely as you can.

In the short term, you may have to cope with someone who does not accept opposition well, who isn't overly helpful or sympathetic, who may have the idea that his way is the only way. Attitudes of intolerance, self-righteousness, narrow-mindedness, and willful dominance pollute the atmosphere ... coming either from you or from someone else, and possibly both.

Alternatively: You may have to reconsider the direction you are taking and the kind of leadership you are offering yourself with your choices and goals. Something about your vision and ambitions may be off-track -- either in the intensity with which you are pursuing wrong-headed decisions or the lack of commitment you have to your own declared intentions.

In time, however, something new will emerge -- or be accomplished -- involving money, possessions, business opportunities, or your professional directions. Something "real" will exist that doesn't at the moment.
