This is a reading on your economic situation at the moment. It deals with the investments, spending habits, management of income, use of possessions, and other physical resources which are central to your interest at this time. You have come through conditions in which too much emphasis on materialism corrupted your ability to enjoy life. You are now able to see how you yourself... or someone significant in your situation ... placed too much stock in money, status, position, and other temporal trappings, possibly to the point of abusing himself (or herself!!) or others in his drive to succeed.

The belief that this kind of "success" would make him happy will has proved false -- and yet it paved the way for a new level of spiritual awareness and enlightenment to emerge. The energy of this card indicates the joyful experience of regaining your soul after a time of losing it -- or worse, giving it away -- for one reason or another. Abusive attitudes, practices, and circumstances end ... and better arrangements can now prevail.

But you now realize you have financial and physical assets enough to cope. You also have good values, good common sense, faith in yourself, a grounded perspective, and a resourceful, resilient spirit. You can use these to your advantage now.

You are in a situation where there is "no victory" or where the success you are aiming for just isn't coming together properly. Possibly the success you gained isn't the one you thought you wanted. This card may reflect a lack of commitment to your own goals ... or self-sabotaging habits that are costing you more than you realize. You may also be in denial about just how powerful these effects are ... and how much damage these influences are causing ... which doesn't help you at all in your efforts to cope with or correct them.

This "no win" attitude is having a significant impact on your ideas, thinking, opinions, and views at the moment. It is also influencing the choices you're making ... and may cause you to overlook options that could be helpful ... or make less aggressive decisions than are needed. You're too focused on how you probably won't succeed in your goals. You need to start thinking like a winner.

A problematic personality or attitude, someone negative, sarcastic, sly, critical, opinionated, argumentative, and undisciplined poses considerable problems for you. This person is superficial, untrustworthy, and uncooperative ... a trouble-maker and a know-it-all. He or she either triggers these attitudes in you ... or you, too, are part of the problem.

These elements and responses may be part of your personality that you need to handle more productively. You may be coping with the results of "bad news" ... or you may be coping with the fact you've been working at cross-purposes with yourself. You are able to work with this truth honestly and out in the open at this point.

You are in a situation that contains considerable dishonesty in what you say, think, believe ... or in what you are being told. The information you are working with is unreliable ... possibly by "putting a better face" on rather unpleasant facts. This is an energy of self-sabotage, of being complicit in your own undoing, of letting yourself be talked into something when you know better -- by accepting excuses, rationalizations, and pretty cover stories. You may even be making these up and telling them to yourself. You may learn in time you have been your own worst enemy by adopting this strategy.

This card depicts reaping the consequences of past bad actions, lies -- perhaps ones you have told yourself or lulled yourself into believing, not paying close attention to what really matters, making decisions based on wishful thinking or deceitful information, weaseling, and either trying to get away with something ... or letting somebody else get away with something -- again, when you really know better than to trust what is happening here.

This is literally an energy of theft and deception. You ... or someone else ... is trying to gain something you have not earned (which could be money, possessions, position, status, regard, or "credit" for something that doesn't really belong to you), are using sweet-talk and fabrications to support your claim, or are playing head games and trying to pull a fast one. Something about the way you think about, work with, and report this situation needs to be corrected -- and fast.

You may not see a good way around this at the moment ... or how to compensate for the problems it is causing you. You may even be in denial that it is happening ... or unaware how much it could cost you ultimately if it continues.

Soon, you will encounter a personality or a set of attitudes that can be quite positive and helpful. This person is most definitely in charge of his own happiness and his creative potentials. He (or she) is not afraid to express deep feelings ... or to display his creative, sensitive, artistic temperament.

This is a person who gives strength and radiates faith and confidence in what he feels and believes. The attitudes on display here are loyalty, commitment, a sense of "family solidarity," generosity, empathy, consideration, and dedication to the support and protection of loved ones.

This may be present in the form of another person -- or it may represent parts of your character that have come to the forefront to help you develop it further.

Ultimately you will reach a place of happiness, success, joy, and have the blessing of supportive relationships.
