This is a reading on your economic situation at the moment. It deals with the investments, spending habits, management of income, use of possessions, and other physical resources which are central to your interest at this time. Because it deals with material assets, its information can also be applied to issues involving your health.

Your situation contains a problem personality, someone who qualifies as a real trouble-maker. There is a sly cunning to this character, and a secretive, scheming "mean streak" that may make him (or her) particularly hard to get along with. Attitudes of aggression, sarcasm, cynicism, and pettiness dominate -- along with an insufferable spirit of narcissism that may be almost impossible to stomach. This person may trigger corresponding attitudes in you ... or this may actually be a part of your own personality that needs to be confronted and corrected.

Alternatively: You may need to refocus on your own thinking, opinions, and the way you express your ideas. You may be acting on wrong information. Your prejudices or a serious misunderstanding of the facts could be having too much influence on your thinking. You may be pushing your opinions too hard and alienating others from considering your views objectively. You may realize you've been too one-sided in your thinking or that you haven't been listening well.

You may have decided to pull back for a while and reconsider some of your stronger views and the way you express them that could actually be either misguided ... or hurting your own cause. If you resonate to this meaning more strongly than to the presence of a difficult person or unproductive set of personal attitudes, consider that this is the message the card is giving you on the matter at hand.

You have changed some well-established beliefs and attitudes, although possibly only through force of necessity. You understand how in some of your ideas and actions you were wrong, unfair, misled, misinformed, confused, or how your behavior did considerable harm to yourself and others.

You consider this episode a "learning experience" ... and realize you are dealing with the consequences of your own choices -- well-informed ones and otherwise. Mostly otherwise. Your new perspective significantly alters some of your previous beliefs about your philosophy of life, your ability to communicate what you know, the "truth" about what you stand for ... and things you were "originally taught" ... on some fairly basic principles of living. It is also having substantial influence on your viewpoints and your choices now.

Your own clear thinking and creative energies are right at hand and ready for you to use. You can develop and use your talents and abilities -- by making decisions you can trust and acting on information that is rock solid and true -- and you know exactly how to apply this asset properly. You know what to do, what to think, what direction to take, how to see your plans through to completion, and how to support your own ideas. Thought and action raised to this level of power are an unbeatable combination.

You are willing to listen to your inner self (or a trusted, wise outside counselor), clarify your thinking, fortify your courage and finally say what you think and own what you know. The benefits of this candor are hard to overstate. Sometimes there are no finer assets than straight thinking and straight talk -- backed up by direct action. This mindset has your full attention now.

You are in a situation that contains considerable dishonesty in what you say, think, believe ... or in what you are being told. The information you are working with is unreliable ... possibly by "putting a better face" on rather unpleasant facts. This is an energy of self-sabotage, of being complicit in your own undoing, of letting yourself be talked into something when you know better -- by accepting excuses, rationalizations, and pretty cover stories. You may even be making these up and telling them to yourself. You may learn in time you have been your own worst enemy by adopting this strategy.

This card depicts reaping the consequences of past bad actions, lies -- perhaps ones you have told yourself or lulled yourself into believing, not paying close attention to what really matters, making decisions based on wishful thinking or deceitful information, weaseling, and either trying to get away with something ... or letting somebody else get away with something -- again, when you really know better than to trust what is happening here.

This is literally an energy of theft and deception. You ... or someone else ... is trying to gain something you have not earned (which could be money, possessions, position, status, regard, or "credit" for something that doesn't really belong to you), are using sweet-talk and fabrications to support your claim, or are playing head games and trying to pull a fast one. Something about the way you think about, work with, and report this situation needs to be corrected -- and fast. If you don't know this already, you are easily able to discover the truth about what is going on here.

You are able to take responsibility for your life and what you are creating with it. You possess loyalty, steadfastness, courage, and the ability to "meet the competition and succeed." Obviously, this is a position of considerable advantage, allowing you to create success, even against opposition, but at the moment you either don't know that these resources are yours to use -- or you aren't applying themselves properly in your own service.

You are able to confront problems and take a stand for what you want and believe, to maintain your position with confidence and poise, to show faith in yourself and your purpose. But again, you aren't doing this to your own benefit in this matter.

You know how to defend what is important to you, and you resolve disputes without caving in under pressure or compromising your integrity, but you haven't managed to do this yet either. You may not understand the importance of using these qualities and attitudes to help your cause ... or you may not yet understand the serious additional handicap you are working under by your inability or unwillingness to "use all your assets" in working with this matter.

You are moving soon into a situation that is very much in line with who you are as a spiritual being, making choices that will help you fulfill your intentions and destiny, and that will advance your personal development to a new level of experience and competence. These circumstances contain faith, trust, optimism, a sense of fresh beginnings, and a grand feeling of confidence that you know who you are, what you can do, what you want to accomplish, and that you are on the right path.

At this point, you are willing to take new and appropriate risks. You are open to new experiences. You are doing things ... and making changes ... that are original, unique, insightful, ingenious, and that fully honor you. You are standing your ground and standing by your decisions, knowing they are the proper ones for the person you are ... and the person you are becoming.

Ultimately, you will meet someone as a result of this matter -- or who will help you work through what is happening here. This person is focused on his professional development, determined to make a successful career for himself, shows financial wisdom and savvy business sense, and knows how to achieve practical results.

He is patient, methodical, dependable, trustworthy, and resourceful. He takes pride in doing a good job ... and is both conservative and hard-working.

This may be another person, who is able to draw out similar responses and attitudes in you -- or it may be one of your inner selves who has come to the fore in order to be recognized, lend assistance, and work with you for greater strength and mutual development.
