This is a reading on your relationships -- describing the major theme of your association with other people right now. This includes partners, friends, parents, children, other family members, and all others who are contained in the relationships that have your attention now.

You are dealing with a lot of impatience. You may be making or have recently made some moves that were not well-considered and which do not have the support you need to make the most of the changes they bring. You could also be letting other people dominate your thinking and "make your decisions for you."

You are not considering your options, possibilities, responsibilities, resources, or abilities in ways that offer you the full range of available potentials. You may, instead, be kicking up misunderstandings, opposition ... or at the least a lack of cooperation from those you need to help you succeed in this present venture. You may also be coping with a lot of mixed messages and your own ambivalence.

As long as things are jumbled as they are regarding this energy of "missing alliances and no support," you might be wise to pause and wait for things to clear before proceeding. Right now you are not heading toward a successful result or the advantageous use of what you are working with.

Alternatively: This card can indicate you have decided to "go back to the drawing board" in terms of partners and allies, outside resources, or your own mixed feelings on this matter and try to reorganize this part of your situation into something more cohesive. There may not be much difference showing in the outside world yet, but you are making some important inner changes and behind the scenes adjustments that will be better in the long run.

If this meaning resonates strongly with you regarding your present situation, consider that it also is a message the card is suggesting for you to receive.

In addition, you are being forced to confront a serious loss or bitter disappointment, something you may have tried hard not to acknowledge. This may involve circumstances of ruin, defeat, betrayal, failure -- even to the point of being "stabbed in the back."

This is an energy of severe trouble and misfortune -- bringing extreme unhappiness, suffering, sorrow, frustration, and anguish. It may involve irreplaceable losses, a crisis of faith, and a sense of the world collapsing around you. It may represent the complete destruction of something you have counted on and worked for -- possibly because you have been acting on bad information or trusting the wrong people.

The upshot here is likely total devastation from which the only choice is "starting over." You may finally realize the extent of this ... and be working with it as best you can. You may, however, feel unable to compensate for or cope with these challenges in any way that makes a difference.

In thinking through your choices on this situation, you need to withdraw from the stresses of the outside world, take some time for yourself, and seek the greater comfort and counsel of your own Inner Self. This should be a time of active spiritual seeking, of discovering life's meaning in terms of your own spiritual truth, of seeking your own direction and listening to your inner counsel. It should also be a time of creative visualization, of absorbing wisdom, of gaining greater insight, and setting personal goals.

You need to use this strategy for your own gain now, and realize it is available to you. Your compass at this point needs to center on the dedication to do what is right and true for you, be open-minded, quiet, and observant, to enjoy the comfort of your solitude, and stabilize yourself and your expanding wisdom in the serenity available to you now.

This is a period of valuing your own time and space, of experiencing your own self-awareness, and having the patience to be tolerant, introspective, and questioning all at the same time. It is a time of contemplation ... and of drawing conclusions from the accumulated wisdom of your own life's experience. From this will come the knowledge you need to make the proper decisions. The influence this has on your thinking and choices now is substantial ... and positive.

You have pushed yourself to the point of collapse -- and possibly illness -- because of the load of commitments, responsibilities, and stress you are handling. The need for you to "do it all" itself needs to change.

You have come through a time of significant difficulty, serious enough to be termed a crisis, but you may not yet understand that "the worst is over." You are not applying this attitude and greater freedom to your own benefit. You should be able to find meaning and solid ground again after coping with these upsetting -- and even abusive -- circumstances. But again, you may not know you can trust this changed condition -- possibly because the problems were so severe or went on so long.

This new level of wisdom is an asset you can use, applying the strength and greater perspective you have gained through overcoming this period of sustained trouble -- and surviving. But you may not yet see the best way to do this, or realize this option is available to you.

Soon, you will arrive at a place of joy, love, satisfaction, and delight.

Ultimately, you will meet someone as a result of this matter -- or who will help you work through what is happening here. This person is focused on his professional development, determined to make a successful career for himself, shows financial wisdom and savvy business sense, and knows how to achieve practical results.

He is patient, methodical, dependable, trustworthy, and resourceful. He takes pride in doing a good job ... and is both conservative and hard-working.

This may be another person, who is able to draw out similar responses and attitudes in you -- or it may be one of your inner selves who has come to the fore in order to be recognized, lend assistance, and work with you for greater strength and mutual development.
