This is a reading on your economic situation at the moment. You are in circumstances of happiness, support, positive relationships, stable emotional conditions, and tremendous satisfaction. Life is reliable, predictable, secure, peaceful, good. This is a time when you can rely on your feelings, know what to expect, what you can count on, and who your "friends" are. This is an asset you can use to tremendous advantage now.

You also face a situation where a problematic personality or a counter-productive set of attitudes have considerable influence. This may involve someone who has -- or causes -- chronic financial problems, someone who is impractical, irresponsible, physically lazy, and who "uses" people ... especially to his own financial advantage.

You may also face attitudes that are unethical, calculating, financially stingy -- or financially greedy, and where "doing things the easy way" is a primary concern. Accommodating this person may be chronically costly to your career progress, your pocketbook, and your physical health.

Because energy is always a two-way street -- this may represent another person in your situation, or it may be a side of your personality you are reluctant to confront or control. You may not even want to admit it exists.

Alternatively: This card can indicate you need to do some serious work to refocus your thinking about money, business decisions, commercial transactions, and the use of time and other resources. It can mean a new way of conducting your financial life and managing your economic situation is waiting to unfold ... and you need to do the inner work -- and the groundwork -- to discover it.

If the description of the difficult personality above doesn't seem to fit your circumstances, or if this interpretation resonates more emphatically with the situation you are handling, then consider this to be the message the card is offering you.

You are working with a situation that features a lack of initiative, low energy levels, confusion, low self-esteem, and a sense of defeat. Your situation may also contain attitudes of vanity, arrogance, self-absorption, disagreements, and disappointment. You ... or someone in your situation ... may be trying to control others for your own ends.

This is an energy of depression, narrow-thinking, and emptiness. You may feel a lack of purpose, a lack of creativity, a lack of joy. It is possible you are misusing personal energy ... and yet still not gaining the positive respect or attention of others you are seeking. You may not yet see any way or solving it, but at least it has your complete attention now ... and you realize the extent of influence this energy has on your thinking and outlook.

You are in circumstances where you feel unhappy, dissatisfied, "incomplete," and strained. You may also be coping with loneliness or "being in a rut" that keeps you from moving forward to another level of experience and challenge. Possibly there is a chronic problem you haven't solved yet or a situation you haven't yet brought to closure. There is a heavy energy of dissatisfaction that permeates your world ... of something that just isn't yet what you want it to be.

You may want to release something -- but are unable to. Or you may be holding onto something because it is not what you want it to be yet ... and therefore the foundation you need to move on to another level ... or another situation ... isn't in place to support new growth. Either way, this unfinished business ... and the stagnation in which it exists ... continues.

You are aware of this influence ... and able to work with it openly and directly. That may be all the good you can say about it, though.

You have an tremendously important unused resource in your situation. You are in circumstances of happiness, support, positive relationships, stable emotional conditions, and tremendous satisfaction. Life is reliable, predictable, secure, peaceful, good ... and you should enjoy being here. But, for some reason, you are not applying this to benefit to your own advantage.

This is a time when you ought to be able to rely on your feelings, know what to expect, what you can count on, and who your "friends" are. It may be you simply don't trust your situation enough to know you can turn to this resource as completely as you can.

You are moving soon toward circumstances that include adequate recognition and compensation for the services you perform and the work you do. It is a condition of achievement and competence ... where you receive what you have earned, including appreciation and financial payment. You are working on something that will serve you well in the future -- and acquiring the skills and assets you need to improve yourself and your circumstances. You will be able to take pride in your accomplishments and the reputation you have because of them.

Ultimately, you will reach a place of triumph, success, and advancement. You will know you are in control of your life and its ongoing stages of development, that you are "in flow," in the right place at the right time, and able to respond to changes and opportunities with balance and poise. This energy is that of success earned by hard work and self-reliance. Your confidence and optimism are well founded. You feel centered, positive, energetic, and "in charge."
