This is a reading on your relationships -- describing the major theme of your association with other people right now. This includes partners, friends, parents, children, other family members, and all others who are contained in the relationships that have your attention now.

Your relationship interests at the moment center around a very specific personality. This person is quick witted, knowledgeable, a person of forceful opinions and intellectual power. He (or she!) has determination, the deep courage of his convictions, and a willingness to stand up for his ideas and views.

He is honest and communicative, focused and goal-directed when it comes to learning ... and teaching. He is a writer, a thinker, a speaker, a lover of truth. He assertively promotes his opinions, shares what he knows, renders sound judgments, and may be both persuasive and opinionated.

This may be another person, who is able to draw out similar responses and attitudes in you -- or it may be one of your inner selves who has come to the fore in order to be recognized, lend assistance, and work with you for greater strength and mutual development. You understand how to work with this asset -- and are able to do so openly and directly.

You are in a condition of waiting, listening, indecision, and stasis. This may be a fairly tense time of ambivalence, hanging fire, or feeling you have reached an impasse. Or you may be waiting to see what happens in a situation of stalemate ... where there is no clear winner, no clear victory, and no clear path regarding how to break out of this arrangement.

You could be waiting for direction, waiting for new inspiration, looking for "a sign" about what to do next. You may also be checking your own priorities and options ... or listening to advice and counsel -- both inner and outer. You may be taking in different ideas, considering other points of view, hearing dissent and cautions -- as well as support and agreement.

You may know you need to make an important decision, but postpone action in order to examine both sides of the issue. This is a time of being quiet, pausing, being passive, keeping an open mind, considering your next move, and sorting out what you really think from all the information you are receiving.

Although you may not be moving forward at the moment ... you understand that using this strategy to your own advantage, choosing your own time, and making sure you are in possession of all the proper facts, could be vital to the successful resolution of your issue.

You have reached a period when it is appropriate to stop, pause, consider, analyze, examine your situation, weigh your options, judge your resources and assets, confirm your allies and partnerships, and test your own desire and determination.

You need to compare your visions and ambitions against what is realistic and possible ... to see if you have any substantial flaws caused by your own enthusiasm that you need to consider or correct before you go any farther. This is a time of "going through your check list" ... to make sure everything you need is in place for the journey ahead -- including your own resolve to launch new efforts and see them through to completion.

You need to consider "what it takes to succeed here," get feedback and ideas from others, talk things over, listen to the consultation and advice of people you trust -- and who may be companions on this journey, too. Go over your plans one more time ... and get ready to make your moves.

This time may feel like things are "stopped dead still' and that you are "waiting" for something (which may not be easy if your temperament doesn't take well to the advice that you "hold your horses" and "have a little patience") -- but this is an essential part of a successful venture. Jumping the gun, when a little more time would pay off handsomely, is a terrible waste ... of everything.

Indications are, however, that you understand this fundamental part of the creative process and are willing to work with this energy to make the most of its potentials.

You are able to engage emotionally with life again. There are new interests -- or new dimensions of old ones -- available to you. You have new momentum, a new sense of ambition, new goals, new desires, or a new sense of direction after being stuck in a period of complacency, contemplation, inactivity, or even mild boredom. At least now point you can work consciously with this new growth step ... and enjoy the benefits of its encouragement.

You need "more action" in your life, a revitalized drive to accomplish something, and the opportunity for new challenges, relationships, excitements projects, opportunities, commitments, and interests -- and you know it. It's time to move on again, and emerge from this place of rest, contentment, and even boredom, and now you can at least work consciously with this rising tide of possibility.

Your situation contains a problematic personality or set of counter-productive attitudes. This person is lazy, dishonest, a swindler, a fraud. He (or she) is irresponsible, manipulative, overly concerned with creature comforts or "taking the easy way out." He is self-indulgent, a "taker," a false friend .. and an emotional drain on those around him. Attitudes present here include insincerity, "living in a dream world," wanting others to take care of him or rescue him, and being focused only on how he can "use" people.

This may be present in the form of another person -- or it may represent parts of your character that need to be addressed and corrected. You may not realize how much this person -- or these attitudes -- are harming your ability to launch effective action. Or you may feel there is really no way to compensate for the problems that are occurring.

Ultimately, you will find yourself in a situation where your inclination is to accept shallow, surface answers, where "appearances" are all that matters -- or all that you believe. This is an energy of self-deception, not listening to your feelings and intuition, acting from conceit and pride. It may be too easy to rationalize away what you really know to be true. You may not really dig for deeper answers.

You may also be dealing with people who are one-sided, closed-minded, insensitive, and concerned with keeping up an image. They may provoke some of the same responses in you -- or you may be contributing your fair share all along.

You may wind up making wrong choices, acting irrationally from deep-seated fears and phobias, unable to make decisions you can trust, and unable to see the real issues clearly. You may pull inward for self-protection ... and be loath to take any risks -- because you don't know what to believe.

This is the result of not following your own instincts, of not listening to the wisdom of your heart, of contradicting your own conscience and inner wisdom, and of not being true to yourself. It's a mighty high price to pay.

Ultimately, you will discover "a better idea," a new philosophical perspective, a new vision. You will use greater insight and intelligence ... being "smarter" than you used to be. This may involve both new information and a new educational opportunity. You will be able to get your points across, communicate well, and see your issues more clearly.

This is a time of creative visualization, new plans, powerful new uses of your own mental energy, and "knowing the right answers." Expect to feel intellectually compatible with your directions ... and know you have finally "gotten the message."
