This is a reading on the general conditions of your Life.

You are working with a significant moment of victory and success.

In addition, you have come through conditions in which too much emphasis on materialism corrupted your ability to enjoy life. You are now able to see how you yourself... or someone significant in your situation ... placed too much stock in money, status, position, and other temporal trappings, possibly to the point of abusing himself (or herself!!) or others in his drive to succeed.

The belief that this kind of "success" would make him happy will has proved false -- and yet it paved the way for a new level of spiritual awareness and enlightenment to emerge. The energy of this card indicates the joyful experience of regaining your soul after a time of losing it -- or worse, giving it away -- for one reason or another. Abusive attitudes, practices, and circumstances end ... and better arrangements can now prevail.

You have circumstances which are acceptably satisfying, but tinged, nevertheless, with mild regrets. You realize "what might have been" if you had made different choices, applied different logic, acted more decisively, or used your advantages with greater skill. You may see how to do things better next time. You may even be planning for them. But although that still will have to wait for another day, it is influencing your thinking and choices now.

You are able to move to a place of balance, stability, new insights, and greater equilibrium. You have this available, and you realize it -- if only by creating calmer conditions in your imagination for the moment. Here adjustments are easily made. You have the self-control and patience you need. There are conditions of cooperation and compromise available, more flexibility, sufficient moderation, and the integration you need for peace of mind.

You may start to see greater symmetry in your life ... perhaps in the midst of paradox. You may also see possibilities and combinations others (and even you yourself) have not considered. You will find ways to synthesize and moderate conflicting requirements ... in one of the most positive uses of your own creative energy you may have seen in a long time.

You are dealing with the results of foolish choices, wrong choices, choices based on fear and despair ... or where you simply refused to commit to a solid course of action, one way or the other. You may feel paralyzed, depressed, stalled, pessimistic ... and even paranoid.

You need to be open to new possibilities. You may have closed down several possible productive alternatives. You need to open up and see what arrives for your further consideration. You may not have the right attitude. You may not be open to success. You may be too much of a "reactor" rather than an actor in your life.

This may not be your most productive arrangement by any means. You need to rethink your situation -- considerably. But at the moment you don't see another way around your dilemma ... or you are in deep denial about how serious a problem this counter-productive position is for you.

A "personality factor" is also part of the equation now, someone fussy, complaining, overly sensitive, paranoid, frustrated, and emotionally undisciplined. This person may be often over-wrought and fretful, obsessive, clinging, and demanding of sympathy and "support" from loved ones -- while offering very little in the way of compassion or even self-control in return.

Alternatively: This card suggests that you need to practice more diligent self-care, be more aware of your own need for love, compassion, and emotional support. Often it comes when life and the demands of those in your relationships have exhausted your resources to the point that you need to pull back, take time out for recuperation, and replenish yourself.

You need to become your own best friend for a while ... and restore yourself to the point that you can be that for others again. This may not happen overnight ... but the fact is, you can't give away what you don't have for yourself in the first place -- and it's time to fortify your inner self, in whatever actions are needed, so that you can become a positive source of support for yourself and those you love ... again.

Eventually, you will find yourself in a situation of wandering, confusion, dissatisfaction, and emotional burn-out. This is an energy of disappointment, inertia, and stagnation ... where you wind up asking, "Is this all there is?" You will know you want something "more" ... that this result is not the answer you're after, that you require something with deeper meaning, more engagement, more stimulation and excitement.

The result may well be "starting over," undergoing a reasonably serious identity crisis -- and maybe a time of depression as you decide to abandon what success you've achieved here ... or the relationships you've formed and commitments you've made in order to move on to something else.
