This is a reading on the general conditions of your Life.

You are in a situation where your inclination is to accept shallow, surface answers, where "appearances" are all that matters -- or all that you believe. This is an energy of self-deception, not listening to your feelings and intuition, acting from conceit and pride. It may be too easy to rationalize away what you really know to be true. You may not really dig for deeper answers.

You may also be dealing with people who are one-sided, closed-minded, insensitive, and concerned with keeping up an image. They may provoke some of the same responses in you -- or you may be contributing your fair share all along.

You may wind up making wrong choices, acting irrationally from deep-seated fears and phobias, unable to make decisions you can trust, and unable to see the real issues clearly. You may pull inward for self-protection ... and be loath to take any risks -- because you don't know what to believe.

This is the result of not following your own instincts, of not listening to the wisdom of your heart, of contradicting your own conscience and inner wisdom, and of not being true to yourself. It's a mighty high price to pay.

You are in a situation that involves confusion, anxiety, and upset. You may not know what to do or what to think. Your direction is unclear ... and you may have no good answers for the problems that still face you. This energy is the feeling of being "locked in," trapped, unable to accomplish anything to put your troubles behind you. You need to rethink your choices ... and change some of your fundamental attitudes. You may not have information you need ... or some of your thinking may be skewed and unproductive.

You feel irritated, exasperated, unable to find meaning -- or clarity. This is the sensation of trying to swim against the current ... and needing to make major adjustments in your opinions, ideas, viewpoints, and intellectual positions. You may not see a good way out of this dilemma at the moment ... or ways to compensate for the problems it is causing you, but at least at this point you are able to work with this energy openly and directly, trying to find ways out of the complications it adds to your issue.

You are in a situation where there is "no victory" or where the success you are aiming for just isn't coming together properly. Possibly the success you gained isn't the one you thought you wanted. This card may reflect a lack of commitment to your own goals ... or self-sabotaging habits that are costing you more than you realize. You may also be in denial about just how powerful these effects are ... and how much damage these influences are causing ... which doesn't help you at all in your efforts to cope with or correct them.

This "no win" attitude is having a significant impact on your ideas, thinking, opinions, and views at the moment. It is also influencing the choices you're making ... and may cause you to overlook options that could be helpful ... or make less aggressive decisions than are needed. You're too focused on how you probably won't succeed in your goals. You need to start thinking like a winner.

You are having to cope, however, with a lack in the quality or quantity of support you need to create the vision you have in mind. You may be teamed up with colleagues and allies that simply aren't up to the task at hand. Someone you are depending on may let you down with a thud -- or some crucial element in your creation will not arrive or will not perform as required. You need to look at the warning signs that tell you trouble is brewing here.

You are finally beginning to realize how crippling or problematic this situation is to your progress now.

You have someone available to help you with this matter -- but at the moment, he is still an unused asset in your situation. This person is interested in his own self-development and firm in his personal identity. His integrity is sound. He can be counted on to deliver truth and honesty. When he's around, he makes a definite impression. He is individualistic, very much his own person ... and wants to be where the action is.

He has unmistakable personal charisma, and considers himself a leader -- but he can be a little too pushy for some people's taste. He simply knows how to get things done -- and isn't shy about doing whatever it takes to achieve his goals. He is energetic, intense, impulsive and always "on the go," or "in a hurry."

He can be impetuous, vigorous, enthusiastic, restless, and competitive. He loves adventure, and he loves winning. He also loves life -- and plays the game of it exceedingly well. He is brave, self-aware, confident and dramatic. He is demonstrative, outgoing, warm, generous ... and wants to "shine". He most definitely wants to be noticed.

He may also be able to show you where your own leadership and initiative will benefit the circumstances of your situation. This may be another person, who is able to draw out similar responses and attitudes in you -- or it may be one of your inner selves who has come to the fore in order to be recognized, lend assistance, and work with you for greater strength and mutual development. You may not see how to apply his gifts at the moment, however. Or you may not yet understand that this asset is available to you.

Soon, you will meet an experience of emotional loss -- perhaps something from your past or part of your personal history that shows up again to haunt you. This may be something you know to expect -- something you have been able to predict, because the pain of this encounter is lessened somehow by its familiarity. This is a sad place you've walked through before -- perhaps in other guises ... but you know how this song goes -- and, worse, how it ends.

The feelings here are regret, resignation, sorrow -- but with a sense of "déjà vu". As I said ... you've been through this -- or coped with it -- before This may be a lesson you need to meet one more time -- as a way of helping you finally find the ways to get past it!! However, despite the brave front you may manage to put on ... this is still something that could hurt -- more than you realize.

Eventually, you will have to cope with someone who does not react well to having his ideas challenged or his opinions questioned. He (or she) is very forceful in his thinking ... but also very closed-minded and rigid. He may blame others rather than seek solutions, fail to show leadership, and fail to accept responsibility for the problems he creates with his attitudes ... and manner.

He is stern, strict, cruel, unjust, and uncaring. He may trigger these same responses in you -- or this energy may well be an inner part of you that comes to the surface to be noticed and adjusted.
