This is a reading on your economic situation at the moment. It deals with the investments, spending habits, management of income, use of possessions, and other physical resources which are central to your interest at this time. Because it deals with material assets, its information can also be applied to issues involving your health.

Your situation contains a most interesting personal energy or attitude. It may exist in the presence of a powerful person of character and integrity who commands considerable influence and force. This could be another person ... someone whose leadership abilities and dedication to self-actualized goals are a compelling part of his nature, someone who leads by example ... and sets a most impressive tone with the choices he makes in his own life.

This influence, if it comes in another person, is charismatic, effective, authoritative, and brave. He (or she!) is a good counselor and a person of sound moral fortitude. He is someone you can both count on and confide in, independent, responsible, and solid. He will activate some of the best of these qualities in you, and provide an example of how you can grow along these lines, too.

Keep in mind, this energy may exist as a composite of several people ... if you don't see one definite example of this candor and strength among your immediate associates. This powerful influence may also be one of your own inner selves that has come to the forefront of your attention to help you ... and itself ... evolve and improve as you work through this issue.

If you don't find this clearly available in another person or people in your outer world, look within. This energy is waiting to meet you there. It is what will attract these others into your life to act as aids and allies if you need them. It can have a strong influence on your opinions, views, and choices in this matter.

But you now realize you have financial and physical assets enough to cope. You also have good values, good common sense, faith in yourself, a grounded perspective, and a resourceful, resilient spirit. You can use these to your advantage now.

You are in a situation that involves money problems, material hindrance, uncontrolled spending, obstacles, and delays in your financial life. The energy here is that of "not enough money," a shaky position, monetary lack, and feeling victimized, exploited, powerless, and "taken advantage of." You may not have good ways to compensate for this problem ... but at least you recognize it for the handicap it is and are able to work with its limitations honestly and directly. It is very much on your mind now ... and having significant impact on your outlook and decisions.

You are in a situation where you are failing to take charge of your circumstances ... and your life, conditions where you are either pushing too hard or not exercising your rightful authority in the choices and directions of your own life. You may be dealing with energy that is tyrannical, controlling, domineering, and abusive. You may also be wasting opportunities and not building anything constructive at this point.

This card's energy can also mean someone in your situation (possibly you yourself) are being lazy and indifferent ... drifting when you ought to be doing ... or at least paying better attention. You are not exercising proper self-discipline or self-control. You ... or someone influential in your situation ... may want success without doing the necessary work. You also may be dealing with negative or unethical motives.

You suffer overall from a lack of courage, determination, leadership, and action. You may be mismanaging an important situation ... and making no progress. You ... or someone in this situation ... may be displaying or coping with toxic ego issues, interested only in self-advancement or self-promotion. You may also be coping somehow with delusions of grandeur ... or a complete lack of integrity, ability, and ambition.

You are in a situation that is confused, stalled, frustrating, blocked, and which doesn't let you live up to your potential. A lack of leadership, vision, personal commitment, and no overall sense of objectives or direction hinders any further growth or progress for the moment.

You may be caught in a sequence of false starts, misdirected energy, setbacks, delays, obstacles, and helplessness. You may also be dealing with uncooperative attitudes from others ... and from life itself. You are wasting yourself on this merry-go-round ... and wasting your time, resources, and abilities. You're just not getting anywhere ... until you make some changes to whatever is causing this inertia. Consider that at least part of the problem likely is you.

You need to make some serious adjustments in your thinking and perspectives -- changes which may include everything from simply developing a better attitude to completely revising what you are trying to accomplish.

At the moment you may not understand the impact this lack of vision and failure of leadership can have on your situation. Or, if you do, you may not see a good way to correct or compensate for the problems it cause you. You may also be in denial that things are really as serious as they are here.

Soon you will be working with a situation that features a lack of initiative, low energy levels, confusion, low self-esteem, and a sense of defeat. Your situation may also contain attitudes of vanity, arrogance, self-absorption, disagreements, and disappointment. You ... or someone in your situation ... may be trying to control others for your own ends.

This is an energy of depression, narrow-thinking, and emptiness. You may feel a lack of purpose, a lack of creativity, a lack of joy. It is possible you are misusing personal energy ... and yet still not gaining the positive respect or attention of others you are seeking.

Ultimately, you will come to a point of material stability, professional competence, career recognition, and financial success. You may not be wildly wealthy, but you have steady employment, are able to use your talents and resources to good advantage, and can hold on to what you earn. You will be in a profitable, stable situation with solid foundations -- and you will be able to stay there.
