This situation contains an energy of happiness, contentment, satisfaction, love, harmony, serenity, comfort, and fulfillment ... and you understand this.

You have a problematic personality or set of counter-productive attitudes to deal with. This person is intolerant, temperamental, pompous, conceited, vain, and full of empty ambitions -- great plans that come to nothing. He (or she) wants things handed to him without effort ... and may be dealing with low self-esteem, poor impulse control, defensiveness, and jealousy.

The attitudes present in this situation include selfishness, impulsiveness, bossiness, and anger -- often poorly controlled anger. This may be present in the form of another person -- or it may represent parts of your character that need to be addressed and corrected.

Alternatively: You may have to reconsider the direction you are taking and the kind of leadership you are offering yourself with your choices and goals. Something about your vision and ambitions may be off-track -- either the intensity with which you are pursuing wrong-headed decisions or the lack of commitment you have to your own declared intentions.

You are in a situation where a problematic personality or attitude has considerable negative influence. This involves someone living in a dream world, someone who emphasizes the fact that he (or she!) is "fragile," "sensitive," "refined," and "artistic" as a way to escape real life problems and responsibilities. This is someone who expects too much and gives too little and who doesn't know how to conduct balanced emotional relationships.

This is someone who wants to be loved without being loving, who gets his feelings hurt easily, who is manipulative, who "plays mind games," who looks for trouble and sees insults and slights where none were intended. This person is lazy, lonely, "victimized," and may have psychological and possibly addictive problems. He wastes time. He doesn't use his talent. He doesn't try anything ... because he's convinced he's fail, it won't turn out well, it's not worth the trouble, etc.

Depression may be a problem ... as may paranoia and anxiety. This person is insecure, thoughtless, and irresponsible. This may exist in the form of another person -- who triggers negative responses of a similar nature in you. Or it may turn out to be an inner part of you all along -- a personality constellation that has come to the surface for attention and adjustment.

You may not see a good way to "get rid" of this person ... or how to adequately compensate for the problems he causes, but at least you realize this situation exists and needs attention. You aren't in the dark about its liabilities any more. This issue has your full attention ... and exerts considerable influence on your viewpoints and choices.

Alternatively: This card's energy can also indicate you need to look within yourself for new sources of pleasure and creative expression. A new level, a new round of expression, regarding your own sense of joy, artistry, and emotional satisfaction is waiting to make itself known to you. If this meaning resonates more strongly with you than the description of the person above, then consider this as the card's primary message.

Your situation contains a person who is honorable, trustworthy, self-confident, and likeable. This is someone who renders sound judgments, has strong personal values, knows who she (or he!!) is and what she stands for. She is dignified, decisive, competent ... and knows how to support the growth and development of others as well as direct her own evolutionary path with wisdom and integrity.

This may be another person in your situation ... or it may be an important part of your own personality that has come to the fore to help you work with this situation -- and to further its own development for use in the future. You have this asset readily at hand, and can apply it to your own benefit whenever you choose.

You are in a situation where there is a lot of uncertainty, where you will have to listen to your feelings and play your hunches -- because there is much more happening beneath the surface of reality than meets the eye.

You may have to wait a while for the pattern and order here to reveal itself properly. You may also need to have faith that things will work out as they should. This could provoke a lot of anxiety, but something important is coming together in the outcome of this situation -- and for a while, you will just have to exist on the edges of reality where "what might be" is still being solidified into "what truly is." The emerging pattern is still sufficiently hidden at this point though ... that your fear and insecurity may be pretty hard to handle.

Soon, you will come to a time when you withdraw from the stresses of the outside world, seeking the greater comfort and counsel of your own Inner Self. This may be a time of active spiritual seeking, of discovering life's meaning in terms of your own spiritual truth, of seeking your own direction and listening to your inner counsel. It will also be a time of creative visualization, of absorbing wisdom, of gaining greater insight, and setting personal goals.

Your compass at this point will be the dedication to do what is right and true for you, to be open-minded, quiet, and observant, to enjoy the comfort of your solitude and stabilize yourself and your expanding wisdom in the serenity available to you now.

This is a period of valuing your own time and space, of experiencing your own self-awareness, and having the patience to be tolerant, introspective, and questioning all at the same time. It is a time of contemplation ... and of drawing conclusions from the accumulated wisdom of your own life's experience.

Long term, you'll emerge from the fog of a substantial illusion you've been laboring under. You may have been acting on false or deceptive information. You may have believed something that will prove to be untrue, misguided, or misunderstood. You will see reality for what it is, however ... which will let you operate from a much more powerful position in the future.
