This is a reading on the general conditions of your Life.

You are still working through a time of sorrow or sadness over a relationship that ended or the processing of a serious disappointment. It may be that an important lesson is contained in this experience that will play a part in what unfolds soon.

There is also a "personality problem" on the scene, someone malicious, cruel, sarcastic, intolerant, and prone to use his or her superior mental gifts and hurtful tongue as weapons in a situation of "warfare."

This may be another person ... or this may be a side of your character, brought out into the open as a result of the stress you are enduring. There is tremendous anger in this person -- and great destructive potential -- but at least they are "out in the open" now where you can face them directly, instead of having constantly to watch your back and wonder what's going on behind the scenes.

Alternatively: This card can mean that you have decided to step back, go inward, and consult your Inner Scholar about the best course of action to take ... and how to handle the challenges you are facing at the moment. If you resonate more to this meaning than to the presence of a difficult personality or counterproductive attitude such as those described above, it is likely this is the suggestion the card has for you now -- to help you deal with this energy more productively.

You have a situation that is unfair, unbalanced, unjust -- and this is seriously affecting the way you view your life right now. Someone may have treated you unfairly. You may have been unfair to yourself in order to be fair to somebody else. Possibly you took advantage of a loophole that got you better arrangements than you really deserved -- or you were the victim of this treatment from someone else.

It may take several efforts to resolve this, or perhaps there just is no way to be fair to everyone. You understand the complexities of this situation. You may not be able to correct the problem, but at least it has your attention -- and you realize the impact this has on your opinions and your choices ... for better or worse.

You are coping with adversity, obstacles, and possibly a lack of preparation for what you have undertaken. To complicate matters, however, you are not fighting for what is right, not standing up for yourself, remaining weak and vulnerable, and bending under the considerable pressure of your circumstances. You may be dealing with a problem you thought was already "solved."

You may also be allowing yourself to be bullied or "run over." You are overwhelmed, dealing with circumstances you aren't really ready to face, and may be blind-sided before long because you are trying to "be nice," make excuses or "look the other way." You may not feel there is much you can do about this situation ... but at least you are able to deal with it openly and directly.

You are in an experience of emotional loss -- perhaps something from your past or part of your personal history that has shown up again to haunt you. This may be something you expected -- something you were able to predict, because the pain of this encounter is lessened somehow by its familiarity. This is a sad place you've walked through before -- perhaps in other guises ... but you know how this song goes -- and, worse, how it ends.

The feelings here are regret, resignation, sorrow -- but with a sense of "déjà vu". As I said ... you've been through this -- or coped with it -- before This may be a lesson you need to meet one more time -- as a way of helping you finally find the ways to get past it!!

However, despite the brave front you may manage to put on ... this could hurt -- more than you realize. You may be in denial about the seriousness of what is happening here ... or you may not know anything constructive you can do to compensate for or correct this matter.

Soon, you will bring an end to this level of experience by judging the work here complete and successful. There will be a sense of release, renewal, and the ability to change your focus to another set of challenges -- complete with a change in your personal consciousness as a result of your learning in this matter.

You will be satisfied with your decisions and what you have accomplished. The eventual results here may, in fact, accrue to you as positive karma.

Ultimately, you will meet someone as a result of this matter -- or who will help you work through what is happening here. This person is focused on his professional development, determined to make a successful career for himself, shows financial wisdom and savvy business sense, and knows how to achieve practical results.

He is patient, methodical, dependable, trustworthy, and resourceful. He takes pride in doing a good job ... and is both conservative and hard-working.

This may be another person, who is able to draw out similar responses and attitudes in you -- or it may be one of your inner selves who has come to the fore in order to be recognized, lend assistance, and work with you for greater strength and mutual development.
