This is a reading on the general conditions of your Life.

You are in circumstances where the lack of money is a problem ... and the stress of financial anxiety may be serious enough to cause physical symptoms. This condition is temporary -- but it can still cause you some tension. You are, however, able to deal with these matters openly and directly.

Additionally, you have to cope with a problematic personality or set of counter-productive attitudes. This may involve a person who takes too many foolish chances with money, who is wasteful with resources, who often shows addictive behavior, or who is physically ill.

He (or she) may be powerful in your career, business, or financial structures. He may also be "keeping you dependent" for some reason. The attitudes featured here may be dishonesty, shady dealings, "anything for a buck," wastefulness, impracticality, fraudulent ideas and dealings, materialism, workaholism, a lack of scruples, materialism, and an overwhelming concern with status.

This may be present in the form of another person -- or it may represent parts of your character that need to be addressed and corrected. You may not feel there is much you can do to improve the situation -- but at least you are aware this energy exists, that it is a problem, and that you have to compensate for or correct it somehow.

Alternatively: You may need to look carefully at some ideas and practices you have adopted that affect your economic situation, business prospects, financial management, or the way you acquire and use physical resources -- including your own time and energy. Something here needs to be rethought, reworked, or redirected so as to not grossly mismanage your own opportunities and resources.

If you resonate to this interpretation more than to the presence of a difficult person in your life now, consider that this is the meaning the card is offering for you to hear and heed.

You are in a situation that involves the depletion of physical and financial assets. Something did not pay off the way you expected it to ... or it cost you a lot more than you realized -- or hoped. It's possible you made a major purchase (although it's also possible what you "bought" was the sad wisdom of experience.) Or you may have "invested a lot of yourself" into something -- that hasn't yet yielded the dividend you're looking for.

At the moment, indications are it either won't give back what you intend, or the investment will take more time to mature than you've realized. You have to work with the possibility that you are overspending; incurring money problems; investing yourself, your time, and your talents poorly. You may not be living up to your potential -- or achieving the gains you intend to make.

You may have jeopardized yourself without realizing it ... or exhausted yourself to no ultimate benefit. This matter has your full attention now ... and you understand the impact it has on your thinking and your choices.

You have reached a period when it is appropriate to stop, pause, consider, analyze, examine your situation, weigh your options, judge your resources and assets, confirm your allies and partnerships, and test your own desire and determination.

You need to compare your visions and ambitions against what is realistic and possible ... to see if you have any substantial flaws caused by your own enthusiasm that you need to consider or correct before you go any farther. This is a time of "going through your check list" ... to make sure everything you need is in place for the journey ahead -- including your own resolve to launch new efforts and see them through to completion.

You need to consider "what it takes to succeed here," get feedback and ideas from others, talk things over, listen to the consultation and advice of people you trust -- and who may be companions on this journey, too. Go over your plans one more time ... and get ready to make your moves.

This time may feel like things are "stopped dead still' and that you are "waiting" for something (which may not be easy if your temperament doesn't take well to the advice that you "hold your horses" and "have a little patience") -- but this is an essential part of a successful venture. Jumping the gun, when a little more time would pay off handsomely, is a terrible waste ... of everything.

Indications are, however, that you understand this fundamental part of the creative process and are willing to work with this energy to make the most of its potentials.

You have an unused asset in your situation. It is time to make a new beginning, construct a new vision of what you want to accomplish -- or become, or launch a new start buoyed on a new sense of self-confidence and new opportunities. This may involve a new sense of who you are, new ways of honoring and "being true" to yourself, new purposes, and new goals.

You need to embrace new energy and enthusiasm ... and know you are going in the right direction and stepping up to a new level of personal development and achievements. You may not yet know this resource is available to you ... or how to make the best use of it. This is something you need to consider carefully -- and assess soon to use to your own advantage.

Soon, you will reach a resolution where you are failing to take charge of your circumstances ... and your life, conditions where you are either pushing too hard or not exercising your rightful authority in the choices and directions of your own life. You may be dealing with energy that is tyrannical, controlling, domineering, and abusive. You may also be wasting opportunities and not building anything constructive at this point.

This card's energy can also mean someone in your situation (possibly you yourself) is being lazy and indifferent ... drifting when you ought to be doing something constructive and making discernible progress ... or at least paying better attention. You may not be exercising proper self-discipline or self-control. You ... or someone influential in your situation ... may be wanting success without doing the necessary work. You also may be dealing with negative or unethical motives.

You will be suffering overall from a lack of courage, determination, leadership, and action. You may be mismanaging an important situation ... and making no progress. You ... or someone in this situation ... may be displaying or coping with toxic ego issues, interested only in self-advancement or self-promotion. You may also be coping somehow with delusions of grandeur ... or a complete lack of integrity, ability, and ambition.

Ultimately you are heading for a situation where you goal has not been achieved. You are left unsatisfied and running on empty.
