This is a reading on your economic situation at the moment. It deals with the investments, spending habits, management of income, use of possessions, and other physical resources which are central to your interest at this time. You are in a situation where you are failing to take charge of your circumstances ... and your life, conditions where you are either pushing too hard or not exercising your rightful authority in the choices and directions of your own life. You may be dealing with energy that is tyrannical, controlling, domineering, and abusive. You may also be wasting opportunities and not building anything constructive at this point.

This card's energy can also mean someone in your situation (possibly you yourself) are being lazy and indifferent ... drifting when you ought to be doing ... or at least paying better attention. You are not exercising proper self-discipline or self-control. You ... or someone influential in your situation ... may want success without doing the necessary work. You also may be dealing with negative or unethical motives.

You suffer overall from a lack of courage, determination, leadership, and action. You may be mismanaging an important situation ... and making no progress. You ... or someone in this situation ... may be displaying or coping with toxic ego issues, interested only in self-advancement or self-promotion. You may also be coping somehow with delusions of grandeur ... or a complete lack of integrity, ability, and ambition.

A "personality" is also available in your situation. This person is interested in his own self-development and firm in his personal identity. His integrity is sound. He can be counted on to deliver truth and honesty. When he's around, he makes a definite impression. He is individualistic, very much his own person ... and wants to be where the action is.

He has unmistakable personal charisma, and considers himself a leader -- but he can be a little too pushy for some people's taste. He simply knows how to get things done -- and isn't shy about doing whatever it takes to achieve his goals. He is energetic, intense, impulsive and always "on the go," or "in a hurry."

He can be impetuous, vigorous, enthusiastic, restless, and competitive. He loves adventure, and he loves winning. He also loves life -- and plays the game of it exceedingly well. He is brave, self-aware, confident and dramatic. He is demonstrative, outgoing, warm, generous ... and wants to "shine". He most definitely wants to be noticed.

He may also be able to show you where your own leadership and initiative will benefit the circumstances of your situation. This may be another person, who is able to draw out similar responses and attitudes in you -- or it may be one of your inner selves who has come to the fore in order to be recognized, lend assistance, and work with you for greater strength and mutual development. You understand how to work with this asset -- and are able to do so openly and directly.

You've come to the point where you can reinstate reality on an intellectual level. This often means someone owns up to the truth, makes amends, and comes to terms honestly with what has happened in the past. You may give credit to someone you have treated unfairly or apologize to someone you have harmed. Or someone who has mistreated or slighted you will decide to set the record straight. You realize this is both possible and necessary.

This energy indicates recognition and credit are given ... if belatedly. Balance is restored. There is greater understanding and honesty in circumstances where misunderstanding, rationalization, deception and even outright lies have previously existed. You can make better, clearer choices -- because at last you're acting on the truth.

You can clarify the information you're working with and allow atonements to happen. You, or someone, can listen, get the message, learn the lesson, and accept the necessary consequences of past actions. At last, you are no longer fooling yourself, accepting pretty "cover stories," or living in fantasies that have no connection to reality.

It may have been a long unhappy road that brought you here ... but here is a better place to be, and now you can apply its advantages to your own benefit. This improved atmosphere has significant influence on your thinking and choices.

It is time to make a new beginning, construct a new vision of what you want to accomplish -- or become, or launch a new start buoyed on a new sense of self-confidence and new opportunities. This may involve a new sense of who you are, new ways of honoring and "being true" to yourself, new purposes, and new goals. You need to embrace new energy and enthusiasm ... and know you are going in the right direction and stepping up to a new level of personal development and achievements.

You have abundant emotional support, happiness, joy, love, and possibly a new relationship, partner or ally to use in dealing with this matter ... but for some reason you are not applying these resources to your own advantage.

For the time being, you'll find yourself "running on empty," over-wrought, and not getting enough rest. You may need some substantial "down-time" in order to recuperate -- but you may not feel you can afford that luxury.

Ultimately, you are moving into a resolution that involves playing by your own rules, rebelling against the status quo, and doing your own thing instead of just placidly doing as you're told. You may find yourself dealing with unconventional ideas and implementing solutions that show considerable free thinking. In this situation, your independence is paramount ... and you may go to substantial lengths to maintain it, even if this isn't the most popular thing to do.
